I see this place closed more than I see it open. Then when it's open you may have to wait hours for food that isn't worth waiting 30 minutes for. Don't get me wrong, some of the food is good like the smothered turkey wings; but 2-hour wait good?? Not at all. The service can be iffy too at times; asking when your food is gonna be ready is swatted away like a annoying mosquito.
Try it for yourself; maybe your experience will be better than mine.

Took awhile to get our food bit it was fresh and worth the wait.
Parking: Since this is on campus, you have to abide by their parking signs. We visited after 4pm on a Friday so we used the parking lot closest to the restaurant. It was a short jaunt to the restaurant.

I was looking for some soul food on a Monday which is hard to find in Greensboro. Came to a new spot only to see familiar faces. And not in a good way. I remember the lady from running a restaurant that was never opened the hours that it was supposed to be. She told me that she ran this restaurant and she told me she restaurant hours. I knew it wasn’t gonna be a good experience from past dealings. But I tried to give them the benefit of doubt. So I came back 15mins after opening hours and they closed. Same issue with her last restaurant. I’m never coming back because I already see what this spot is gonna be about. Only open when they feel like coming in and not the actual posted hours. I really hate that it’s a black OWNED business because as much as I try to support, I’m always giving a reason to not want to even spend my hard working money with them and I AM BLACK.

The collard greens, cornbread, Mac and cheese were delicious. If you like Italian season and Worcestershire sauce you'll like the meatloaf. It took 45 mins to get our food.

This was my first time coming here because I was craving soul food but wanted to try a different spot. The fried whiting was good, especially paired with the Chardonnay sauce. I had high hopes for the Mac and cheese but it was highly soupy and unseasoned. The yams were the best thing on the plate. I was hoping for a better experience after waiting almost an hour but it was just ok.
