I had an amazing time at Tripps. I was advised by my hotel that this was one of the best local eateries in the area. I took my family there and I can say that they did not disappoint.Prior to going there, we reviewed the menu online and identified a lot of options. We got there and were presented with additional specials that we considered, as well. We settled on a delicious assortment - spring rolls, crab cakes, Thai chili shrimp, State Street Burger, and hand-breaded chicken tenders.Out of all of the choices we made, not one of them was a miss. The proportions of our entree options were MORE than enough. Our server was absolutely friendly and did her best in working with a very busy room. To top it off, we ordered a cheesecake that looked incredible, to say the least (with strawberry topping). It was enough to be shared amongst 2-3 people - if you were feeling generous.I definitely will keep this restaurant at the top of my list whenever I'm back in the area. This was a great experience!

So sad. This place used to be really good. The crab cakes are terrible now. They were the best thing on the menu back in the day. The decor has got to be 20+yrs old and it just doesn't look clean. Very disappointing.

Went for a quick burger & beer for lunch. I sat at the bar. It wasn’t that busy, and l felt the service was a bit slow. The barmaid even seemed a little cavalier. I got the Red Oak Helles and a burger. I ordered it medium well (a little pink inside), but it came out well done, no pink at all. It was tasty, and it was huge. I couldn’t finish it. I’m not sure if it was because of the portion or that it was overcooked. Would l go back - yes, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.
