Delicious food. Good specials. Good selection of wines by the glass.
My meal came with sesame seeds on top but was not on the menu under the description of the dish. I am highly allergic. The chef remade the dish but it was so salty, that I could hardly eat it. Please be sure to tell the sever about any allergies since they don’t list everything on the menu. The service was excellent.
Eat at Undercurrent anytime I’m traveling to the area for work. Entrees are priced mostly in the $25-45 range and I always feel like I get exactly what I pay for. Food is well above average, and service is always good at the bar. Have been 4-5 times over the last few years and always have a good experience.
Very small entree portion for the price.
Excellent food and service. Well worth the experience! Thanks!
Undercurrent is usually our go to place for special occasions. So we selected it for our husband's Birthday-which also happened to be Easter Sunday. It was not especially busy as we chose lunch/brunch time. The food was sub par and the service was very slow and unresponsive. We left with a very cold (which was how our food was served) feeling. So disappointing since this was a special birthday for my husband. We may reconsider our standard choice in the future.
First time dining here. Our server Holly was excellent,as a matter of fact, everyone working there was wonderful! The ambiance and decor is simply beautiful! We did Easter Brunch, the Lemon Poppyseed with blueberries Waffle was to die for! We do not live in the area, our daughter attends UNCG, so we frequent the Greensboro area, and we will definitely be back! I highly recommend dining here.
EXCELLENT CHOICE FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY DINNER. GREAT FOOD, FANTASTIC COCKTAIL. OUR SERVER WAS THE BEST. FRIENDLY, HELPFUL. LOOKING FORWARD TO RETURNING
Was really great. Knocked it out of the park with this current menu. Scallops, pork entrees were exceptionally good. Great, understated service.
Our lunch at Undercurrent was awesome as always! Delicious meal, great atmosphere and our server, Scott Townsend, outstanding. We had a most enjoyable time.

This place was across the street from the Marriott where we were staying and the description as a white-tableclothed farm-to-table New American fare upscale restaurant sold us. Overall, it was a good meal. - Scott, our server, was great: knowledgeable and attentive. - The restaurant isn't as elevated as the description portrays - no tablecloths, and while some tables had a nice tulip centerpiece, our table had what looked like a 3-day-plucked daisy lol. - I had the lamb chops and the angus ribeye. My friend had the spinach salad, the pork chops, and the apple pie skillet for dessert. The food was well presented and was well flavored. The only real negative was the too-cool temperature for all our hot dishes. To illustrate, the butter medallion on the $45 ribeye didn't melt at all during the entire entree course; nor did the vanilla ice cream along the side of the apple pie. It felt like the chef had prepared wonderful dishes that had then unfortunately sat under a weak heat lamp. - Prices were a tad steep considering the plastic tables and temperature issues. Overall, it was a lovely meal, and I appreciated their selection of dessert wines. Would be a good option for a date night as long as you are prepared for slightly warm food.
Beautiful, modern setting. Very creative menu . Fairly priced wine list and very friendly, attentive staff. Perfect place for dinner before walking to the Tanger Theater!
My wife and I had dinner there on Saturday, our first time at this restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised with how good it was. Not super fancy decor, but excellent food and service. We both had a glass of wine, and they gave very generous pours. We will definitely go back, and will probably bring friends.
I was excited to try Undercurrent Restaurant, but unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations. I ordered the scallops, which had a strong ammonium taste—a clear sign they were past their prime. Disappointed, I opted for the ribeye instead and requested it medium well. What I received was an overcooked, tough-as-stone well-done steak.
The service only made matters worse. Our waiter was inattentive, barely checking on us, despite frequently tending to other tables nearby. As a Black patron who always tips well for good service, I couldn’t help but feel he assumed we wouldn’t tip. He walked past our table multiple times without acknowledging us, which was both frustrating and disappointing.
Overall, the food was bland and unappealing, and the service left a lot to be desired. I won't be returning to this restaurant, nor will I be recommending it to anyone.

The atmosphere is open and bright. Not great or attentive service. Has the butternut squash soup and beef and lentil soup. It was very good. The lobster and shrimp spring rolls were highly recommended but I didn’t care for them. The sauce was not authentic and the stuffing inside was too much filling and not much lobster or shrimp. We had the special of filet minion with crab and shrimp on top. It was delicious and tender. The arugula salad in the side was okay, the dressing was very tangy. Probably wouldn’t recommend or come back.
