Lots and lots of drinks to choose from. You'll always find that 1 drink you like. The food is awesome. Great tasting chicken. The rice bowl etc are very tasty but the portions could be bigger for it's price.
Unfortunately bland especially the kfc chicken just super fried nothing else with it tasted a lot like the original KFC 🙁
Brussels sprouts were tasty. Black noodle soup watery with a hunk of fried chicken in it that turned soggy.
Fantastic experience, me and my date had pleasure of enjoying a fixed course menu with paired drinks. The staff the attention to detail and the cooks made us have a great time!
We wanted to try something a bit different and this place did not disappoint. We tried several dishes and everything was spectacular. Super flavorful. And save room for dessert. The outdoor seating was great.. covered, comfortable and could lightly hear the music.
Went for a Tuesday date night with my hubbie because half price wings. Of course we had two orders, and by we, I mean me. They were delicious 😋 with the sweet and spicy sauce on the side (though I would have loved to have them smothered in that sauce). Also had the Shrimp Shumai, but while it was good it wasn't as good as the wings. Hubbie had the Philly cheese rice, which he devoured with gusto along with aa orange slushy drink. Definitely plan to go back again.
I like the vibe of this place nice and relaxing. Extremely warm greeting when we walked in. Our waitress was amazing! I should've listened to her when she recommended the wings over the KFC double fried chicken. The soy garlic double fried chicken was fried way too hard. It was not enjoyable. The chicken was one step away from being burnt. I also ordered the pork gyoza that was pretty good. I will definitely go back just don't order the double fried chicken anymore.
I always have a fantastic experience at Yokai! The food is consistently excellent, the cocktails and sake offerings are expansive and tasty, and the service is always on point. You can get a good meal on the cheap or do a proper extravagant night with lots of little shared dishes and an assortment of spirits.
You must must MUST do one of the Omakase nights (chef's tasting dinners) when the opportunity arises (subscribe to their emails on the website, they won't spam you and you'll get notification on the special dinners they do). These are really cool experiences where you'll get a little taste of fine dining without the stuffiness of what that experience usually entails. Fantastic, quality food, a generously poured sake pairing option, and usually an indulgent supplement option.
The fried rice with pork belly was phenomenal. Cucumber salad was good, slushy was ok. Wings were terrible and salty. Ramen was good! Took an order of donuts to go, yes they were amazing.
I don’t understand how this isn’t a 4.9+ reviewed restaurant. Everything from the food to service and atmosphere were outstanding. I have a shellfish allergy and they were unbelievably accommodating. I will most definitely return!!!
We went to Yokai before a show at Tanger. It was perfect. The food and drinks were tasty and the service was friendly!

I've eaten at Yokai a number of times since moving to Greensboro last November. Most recently for my birthday. The customer service can make or break a business. The service is perfect. The food can make or break a business. The creative foods and flavor are perfect. Also fun to see the chefs up front. Yokai is my destination spot! Robert L.
KFC was not tasty at all and the meat was like dry sand paper. The garlic sauce was ok but again, not very flavorful. The old fashioned was good. Our server was nice. The outdoor patio was ok.
Phenomenal. Amazing staff, quick service. Food was perfect. Drinks were awesome and very delicious. Staff was very knowledgeable. A must go to if you visit Greensboro!
Quaint American take on an izakaya. Awesome selection of sake. Food is excellent and I haven't run across anything that I didn't like
This is a very unique gem in downtown Greensboro. The staff are very friendly and attentive. It is a small, cozy space with a very nice atmosphere. The food is excellent. I highly recommend dropping in if you are looking for good food and a relaxing space.
