This was our first time at Bagelman and we were pretty disappointed with the service. My husband waited for our food for probably 40-50 minutes, it seemed they may have forgotten our order. I am not one to leave reviews in general but this experience was very disappointing. The food we received was good but a little pricey for the quality.

I ordered a pizza bagel. The bagel was fine. I ordered a salt bagel and it was fine. But there was too much cheese and I love a lot of cheese, but there was no sauce. A tiny tiny bit of tomato sauce and way too much cheese. I won’t order it again. I wish I would’ve taken a picture.

I went to The Bagel Man at 5:30 in the morning and got an egg sandwich. Damn it was good. The owner doesn’t smile much, he’s very serious, but he makes a mean bagel. He thanked my friends and me for coming to his shop. I could tell that he was proud of his hand rolled bagels. He should be

I used to enjoy visiting Bagelman when I am in town visiting family. The last 2 times we have patronized the restaurant our service was horrible- waiting for 30-40 minutes for a sandwich when the restaurant was not busy ( 2 other folks in the establishment). The first time I walked around to the kitchen to see what was taking so long and the employee was on his cell phone. Today, after waiting 30 minutes, I walked around to the area where you can see the kitchen and the 3 ladies were standing in there socializing. It seems to be a pattern at this point which is disappointing. Great food- super slow service….

Overall it was a decent experience. I can’t say it was the best bang for your buck as there was barely 2 pieces of bacon and what looked like a single piece of Taylor ham on my almost 10 dollar sandwich. Though there was 3 eggs on it, I can’t say it’s worth the price.

After running a Ragnar trail race all weekend my partner always wants a Pork Roll, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Sadly not something I thought we could get her now that she lives in NC. We grew up in central NJ and are mildly judgemental about our Bagels and Bagel sandwiches. Bagelman is spot on, 100% recommend. We drove down from Rocky Mount just to try it and will be back, often.

My food was delicious but the cashier left a sour taste. She seemed very annoyed to be taking my order and has no personality. I didn't get her name she didn't have a name tag but she is the tall one.
