“It was a first time dining here . We choose BBQ . Great service , excellent fresh meat, seafood , and veggie options. And it was a fun an exciting experience. Our waiter explained everything to us , and was very attentive. We are planning on trying the hot pot soup on a cold wintery day.”

“Hubby wanted Blooming Onion; but we had trepidation at eating at this location based on prior experiences (before current proprietor). We were VERY pleasantly surprised. We had minimal wait even though host said they had been “crazy busy” and expected more large groups shortly. Pressley, our waitress, was prompt, professional, communicated well, was attentive (without attitude) when I asked to talk to manager before ordering (due to food allergies) as well as throughout our meal and getting us out, even offering to-go beverages. Alyssa, the manager on duty was awesome discussing food preparation and easily reassured me, as well as supervised/assisted in kitchen. We initially saw her cleaning dining area, not knowing that she was manager, as entire staff was working as team and well oiled machine to assure a really clean dining area, as well as restrooms. My hubby got his Blooming Onion and 1/2 rack smoked ribs and could not stop with glowing praise for his meal. I had Alice Springs Chicken that was even better than I had at one of my favorite Outback locations last week for our anniversary! Overall, restaurant sound was quiet enough for us to talk to each other easily, despite large family groups & TVs in bar. Staff’s demeanor was calm and upbeat making dining experience quite pleasurable. Never expected to be writing this 5star review today; So, keep up the good job manager Alyssa!”

“Two weeks! It has been 2 weeks since my spouse and I visited this restaurant for our first time, and I can't stop thinking about how good it was. The food, atmosphere, and staff were all excellent. I fully intend to visit NC Spices again this week.

The only disclaimer I would make is that the food comes out hot! I may have been a little over-eager and burned my mouth a little, but I only blame myself. Even after my first- bite-lesson-learned, I can't justify removing any stars from this exceptional experience. If you have never been here, you should. And if you're wondering if you should come back, the answer is "yes!"

Our leftovers on day 2 were equally impressive.

“We came in for brunch with a big party to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The “party room” was set up beautifully and the staff had the tv set to a lovely video playing of a fireplace. We were able to decorate to our liking with decorations we purchased to top off the already lovely space. While the restaurant was extremely busy, the staff was attentive and made sure our every need was met. The food was outstanding as always. Special thank you to the bartender and manager for a fabulous morning of brunch and bubbly to celebrate our dear one.”

“I really hope this place does well and stays here. A friend and I enjoyed the food very much, and the entire staff was welcoming, accomodations, and sweet. The place is on 10th street, across from Villa Verde, which is a location that has a high turnaround, however, my friend and I were absolutely blown away. The free ceviche con crispy tortilla was so fresh and delicious. They have chips and salsa too, if you want, and the salsa is top notch. Our main courses were terrific 10/10. We both hope this place stays here forever.”

“First time coming here for our best friend's birthday celebration. And omg! The sushi was absolutely amazing and very decent price for an all-you-can-eat. Marley, I believe that was her name; was just on point with service. From bringing our drinks, taking our orders, clearing our table from the empty plates we kept accumulating and to ordering more entrées that we wanted to try. The staff was also very great in bringing our dishes. Still though, the food is incredibly delicious!”

“We drove a little over and hour to try Hook & Reel and it was definitely worth it. We did the all you can eat. The seafood was very fresh and cooked perfectly. We tried the seasoned garlic butter mild at first but was not spice, so the next platter I ordered spicy and it was perfect. It’s honestly hard to find good crawfish and this is the place hit the spot. Service is quick to take your order and the food comes right out. Highly recommend Hook & Reel if you’re craving seafood! The only thing I believe could use some tlc is the restrooms.”

The waiter was not good at all. He took our order and didn't bring out the 1st of 2 appetizers we ordered. When I asked him a good 10 minutes later, if the app was coming out, he said, "Yes, let me go see. Then, someone else came out to ask if we wanted the app since we canceled it previously. Which, of course, we didn't cancel it at all. So, that was already a miss. Then, after waiting even more time, our food came up. He seemed to offer to get drinks refilled or more fries, which all was great. We don't know if he was having an off, not, or maybe he had a lot of tables. We were busy talking, so we didn't see how many tables he served. It's all good. The food was off, totally not their norm. We normally have a great experience at Red Robin. We drive over 30 minutes away to eat here because of their food and service.”

While waiting she brought my (to-go) drink to me, and minutes, like about 4 I had my cheesy delicious Steak sandwich with grilled onions, peppers and muchrooms (otherwise known as 'All The Way). Recommend the Onion rings as a side to your combo, it's only a buck. Ari provided great service in little time while maintaining professional enthusiasm. “We recently stumbled upon the Marathon while visiting the art gallery next door. To our embarrassment, we had driven past it for over a year, assuming it was closed due to its dimly lit interior and lack of visible parking. As lovers of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, we excitedly ventured in to give it a try.

To our delight, we discovered a hidden gem that we had been missing out on for far too long! The restaurant offers an extensive menu, ranging from traditional Greek dishes like chicken kabobs and gyros to more familiar options like burgers, salads, and pizza. The homemade Greek salad dressing, perfectly cooked chicken, and delectable gyros were accompanied by mouthwatering pita bread, heated and coated with a special something that truly sets it apart.

Looks like Marathon has a full bar and a warm, inviting atmosphere with charming wood paneling, street-level windows, and an abundance of plants reminiscent of cozy local restaurants in Alaska and Canada. The clean, comfortable environment is further enhanced by the exceptionally welcoming staff who contribute to the overall positive energy of the place.

Not only is the food exceptional, but the prices are also incredibly reasonable. With fountain drinks under $2 featuring the highly sought-after crushed ice, it's a refreshing change from the overpriced and under-flavored options found at other establishments. The French fries, served hot and crispy with just the right amount of salt, are the best in town. Pair them with a sweet and affordable Baklava for a truly satisfying snack.

Accommodating picnic table or sitting in your vehicle. I love Bill's hotdogs and there staff of lovely women. I go to grab me and my pitbulls lunch. He loves the hot dogs and the know, when I say 2 combos. They know to make Yuris (pitbull) hotdogs and then the make mine its our once a week treat.

I chose the Steak Hibachi which included Zucchini, Onion and Mushrooms, served with your choice of white or fried rice, and I also ordered the Clear Onion Soup which was delicious (but did not get a picture) They have a "Sauce Station" in the restaurant which has some of the BEST Ginger Sauce I've ever had anywhere! “I have eaten Jersey Mike subs in many different places, and I do believe the young ladies at the Moye Ave, Greenville, NC location made us the best subs we have ever had. The meats were placed so carefully, almost artfully, so that every bite had a taste of every ingredient. I got drive-through at 8 PM Saturday evening, and the drive-through person was also the curly fry cook and she did me right. I got four good size roast beef sandwiches for $10 and then a large curly fry for three something so I am totally satisfied. $14 or less for food for three is not a bad deal these days.

Parking: The parking is to the side and back of the building. Which is conveniently located right on Fire Tower Rd., Greenville, NC.”

I love that I can choose my chicken salad, from a choice of many, and you get a cookie for dessert. A great affordable lunch.”

“I love sitting at the sushi bar with chefs Ken and Charlie. The offer a great sear tuna appetizer and their sushi rolls are fantastic. They are happy to customize a roll for me when I ask also. Below is a photo of my Shugie Roll, shrimp tempura roll with avocado and crap on top. Delicious. I also recommend the hibachi lunch meals. I got a bento box today and as you can see it is a full meal, including soup. My favorite sushi restaurant in Greenville.”

“I just recently went there after seeing the sign while I was going around with my friend.I ordered Maisoor masala dosa and samosas. Both of the dishes are so worth it. The samosa and the sauce felt like I was in India.The dosa was not spicy enough for me (I understand that they probably need to keep it that way to cater to the American population) but God it was amazing, especially with the sambar.Like it seems costly but totally worth it, just for that authentic sambar dosa, like you will feel like you're eating something that I actually made in South India. Overall, if my pocket allows, I'm definitely coming again and it's great to come here with your girl for a casual date or just have great drinks and impress her with some good food.Also, the service is excellent. The chef specifically came out and explained the dishes and asked what we needed so 5 star for that.”

“Brittany (at least that's what it says her name is on the receipt) is super great. My son got out of our van and slammed his thumb in the door and was quite loud in his protestations. When he eventually calmed down and entered, he looked very sad. Brittany did her best to cheer him up and he talked about how it made him feel better then entire day. And the subs were good. As a plus, their commode is incredibly powerful. It looks like a household-style commode, but watch out when you flush -- if you put your arm in there (there's some strange folks out there, so I'm just warning them), you might be lost to the sewers.”
