“Fantastic place! Awesome food, drinks and staff!!“

“Last night I was in total shock. I had a friend come from out of town, and took her to Tie Breakers for cocktails and to shoot some pool (going down town is geared more for the younger generation/college kids). I was so disappointed in the number of children running around unsupervised. Children ranging in age from 7 years old to around 12 or 13 were so rude, running around all 3 tables as if we weren't there loud and disrespectful. Slamming Q sticks on the tables, one kid trying to climb up on the table. It was so disappointing!! It seems as if this parents go in with other couples and sit around and drink while their children run wild and disrupting other patrons. Tie Breakers has fallen to the generation that lets the "amusements" within the establishment babysit while they hang out. I use to enjoy going, but these children are out of control and the staff are so young they don't know how to handle the situation. Please put a sign up in the pool table area..children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. There was another couple there when we arrived and the children pretty much ran them off. So loud and disrespectful bumping into our tables, in the way while trying to shoot, and even hitting the end of our stick while we were trying to shoot. It's just not fair to patrons who spend their money in there to enjoy food, beverage and shoot pool (and leave their children at home etc..

“Looking for a place to eat in a strange town. Found Cubbies and decided to stop. The minute we stepped through the door, we were greeted by the staff and welcomed . Seated promptly and drink order taken. Food was brought to the table promptly and hot. I had the hamburger steak and onion ring, slaw. Wife had chicken with vegetables, onion rings, and slaw. We enjoyed our food and were constantly checked on by staff to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely stop at Cubbies when we're in town.“

“Chaotic with no one even there. Also, they are no longer a HWY 55, but everything is the same. SCREAMS COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT! Ordered: Burger Combo and kids hotdog = $19 bucks. Crazy for what we got. Sent the burger back because it didn't even match the bun, and the hotdog was so overcooked that I would be ashamed to even feed it to my dog. Needless to say, we left and went to Bill's in the same center.“

“I like this restaurant and the service was good but for the past few months I have noticed a decline in food at many restaurants. This steak looked nice but I noticed it looked like a pork chop more than a hand carved steak, it didn't have that red meat appearance. It was very uniform like a machine cut not a butcher shop. It was bland like it had not been salted or brined before broiling. It looked good but this steak was greyish, bland and sorta dull. I didn't finish it, it went in the doggy box as an ok steak but nothing to brag about. It was probably a flattop instead of a grilled steak. Not flavorful...“

“We had our son's rehearsal dinner in the greenhouse and patios. We asked for food with a North Carolina vibe(baked oysters, pork belly, shrimp and grits etc) because almost everyone was from all over the U.S. Food was amazing. Hayden helped us pick great wines IPAs and selzers. Everyone had a great time. I planned it all from Ohio having only been there for dinner once. A great evening. Highly recommend for events and dinner“

To our embarrassment, we had driven past it for over a year, assuming it was closed due to its dimly lit interior and lack of visible parking. As lovers of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, we excitedly ventured in to give it a try.

To our delight, we discovered a hidden gem that we had been missing out on for far too long! The restaurant offers an extensive menu, ranging from traditional Greek dishes like chicken kabobs and gyros to more familiar options like burgers, salads, and pizza. “First let me say that they have changed their name. The restaurant still looks like a Hwy 55, but is no longer part of the franchise. With that mentioned, the inside does look like it could use an update, but the food was still good. Everything we had from the steak and cheese, too the burgers were fresh and delicious.
