“Located in a strip mall with a hardware store on one side and a connected grill/restaurant on the other, you don't want to miss this local brewery. It's larger than it appears with a comfortable lounge area with lots of seating in the front and a bar in the back. Be sure to check out the door--now table bejeweled with bottle caps. It's a work of art! Beer and wine only. Wine is sold by in bottles. A nice variety of many different types of reds and whites available at a moderate price point. You can also order wine slushies served frozen and sweet. First Brew is best known for its beer selection. They have 16 rotating flavors on tap. Flights are available for sampling or you can choose your favorites in 10 ounce or 16 ounce pours in real glassware. Other beer options include bottles and cans available in the cooler. The majority of their beers are craft beers brewed locally in North Carolina. Look for unique sours and ciders. There are other options, including domestic beers available.A menu for John's Grill is available and you walk into the adjoining room to place your order. While you pay next door when you order, they do hand deliver to First Brew. Fried garlic cheese curds are a tasty side to cold beer. The manager was our bartender, and did a great job taking care of us and answering all of our questions. She was friendly and efficient and working hard! The day we visited was cool out so no one was on the back deck. Outdoor seating, barbecue grills, and corn hole look to be popular activities. Check out the fence with lots of signs and interesting decor.First Brew is worth the stop! I'm excited to be the first to review First Brew and hope other Yelpers will support this local business too.“
“I worked here a few months back, and I truly miss it all the time. The food is fresh, clean and healthy, the staff genuinely care about every person that comes in, and it is such a great and positive atmosphere for anyone looking to join the fit community. I wish I hadn’t moved away so I could spend my weekends there again!“
“I had a call in order of a smoke sausage sandwich with egg and cheese...and when I tell you Ronnie, Chad and Lee made my sandwich with love. I bit into it... stopped and called and told them how wonderful it was. The absolute best breakfast sandwich I have had in a long time!!!“
“I’ve been wanting to try this place a LONG time, but they are only open on weekdays from 7-2:30 so that has kept me away until today and a light schedule afforded time to check it out! So glad I did! Where can you get fresh veggies, homemade desserts and great meat for the prices they charge? No where! We ate for $18 and we were stuffed. The special is $8 and it includes a beverage you can’t get fast food for that! Everything was delicious. Check it out if you’re in Goldsboro ❤️“
“Our server Jennifer was very nice and welcoming.. you can sit anywhere theirs an open table so we sat right by the kitchen an the smells of fresh ingredients increased my appetite. I ordered the homemade waffle with pecans 3 eggs scrambled with cheese the home fries an 2 turkey sausage links an a bowl of grits. My wife ordered Mitchell’s Mayham which consisted of a gravy biscuits with shredded cheese an eggs on top we even got French toast an eggs for our son let me tell you this place is a Dimond in the rough for sure as for everything we ate was great…. I highly recommend this place for breakfast. They even serve lunch for 11 till 2 if your ever in Goldsboro NC give this place a try“
“We heard about Carl and Chelle's and decided to give them a try! It's your down home - Mom and Pop steakhouse. The decor definitely needs to be brightened up and updated. Everyone was super nice! The restaurant and rest rooms were clean. They began to fill up quickly, so although not required I would make a reservation. I was quite shocked that they still had a public salad bar! I'm not a fan of buffets or shareable bars, but I got a salad and it was good! Our server was nice and she came around with a cart with visuals and then an open piece of meat that you could choose the cut of your steak if you like. I wasn't a fan of bringing the steak to be cut to the table, but that's just me. Our food came out in good timing and no one had any major complaints, but the asparagus was a little too charred. Also for the shrimp some type of butter sauce would have been delicious. I would have also enjoyed a good sauce for the chicken breast. We did not indulge in dessert because I made a cake at home, but they do have homemade slices of cakes/pies if you would like dessert. They have their own parking lot and most dishes were about $25 and up depending on the steak you choose. Overall a pretty good place to enjoy a good meal quickly! Dress is come as you are- we dressed casual and I felt a little overdressed. So if you are celebrating- dress up, but regular clothing is acceptable here also.“
“This was our first time since the new ownership. The place looks great. The food was fantastic. I had the veggie omelette and it was perfectly cooked. The staff was super friendly. The only suggestion would be to change up the orange juice, it was a little bitter. We will be back.“
“New favorite ice cream shop! Wonderful service, delicious rich ice cream, selection of yummy hot food (zucchini fry’s were awesome) refreshing homemade lemonade with flavors such a strawberry, blackberry and pineapple! The decor had me feeling nostalgic with old school rap and R&B memorabilia. There’s a colorful wall mural with a phrase reminiscent of the chorus hook line to Jay-Z’s “99 problems” that says “99 problems but ice cream ain’t one” You got that right! They have an old school speaker/boombox decor themed counter area. They are truly a notch above the rest!“
“When we go to North Carolina we try to make it a point to stop here. The first time we stopped it was because we saw the billboard signs. We got to sit with the owners father and he told us the story of how Adams came to be-that was a treat! Very delicious food! I can't remember the name of the sandwich I tried this time, it had brisket and pulled pork, I asked them to add jalapenos and oh boy, it was tasty! I asked what the lady recommended as a side, she recommended the Mac and cheese, it is homemade. It was delectable! We will continue making Adams pay off our trip!Parking: Plenty of parking in their dirt lot“
“As a planner, florist, and decor rentals.. I recommended Skullies Street Q to my clients. Not only do they have the BEST brisket ever… their creative catering menu satisfies a wide variety of clients. They offer several options of service to fit into budgets from food truck, buffet, plated, stations, and full service catering truck needs. Amazing bartenders too!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for client dietary restrictions!“
“One of the best burgers I've ever had! The receipt says "Will" waited on me. Well if it was, she was great. Pricie was perfect... A young man and his grandmother were sitting next to me and he said he enjoyed chocolate ice cream cones and she said German Chocolate cake...well, I got each what they liked on my way out without them knowing. Paying forward is nice when you can and nice people deserve it. A hidden gem!“
“Came here today with a couple of my buddies to come try this place and it was the best bbq I’ve had in a long time , those young man and women was so great with customer service and my food was HOT ,I just want to say that’s a great place to eat with family and friend. And special thanks to the young manager that made my food. We will be coming back. ?“
“I ordered the lamb chops Parmesan crusted with mashed potatoes and spinach along with the strawberry salad. I had the cheddar mushrooms as my appetizer and water as my drink. My waitress was kind and attentive. It was not busy and my food came out fresh. I did try the sweet tea and ended up adding that as my drink. It was an amazing experience. I greatly appreciate them and they offer military discount.“
“I was traveling for work and decided to get some lunch near the training center. The wait time was minimal before my order was taken. I was greeted when I walked in. The restaurant is inside a convenient store but don't let that deter you. My order was approximately ready 7 minutes after placing my order. I ordered the oxtails, cabbage, rice and beans with plantains. I also ordered the jerk chicken for my dinner with the same sides. The food was very delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor and the seasoning was perfect for me. The portions were nice and I didn't mind paying their prices. I will definitely visit again.Parking: Located in a strip shopping center with a few small businesses.“
“The foods are exceptional! I went their another location in Goldsboro. Both of them were so good!! There is a variety of menu choices. Especially, they have so many choices of hamburgers! I really enjoy trying different hamburgers whenever I order!“
“4-1-23Two locations, this being the Rosewood one. Came for dinner on the date above. Interior is unique in that some seating is around a corner. Limited. Our table felt a tad sticky but wasn't dirty. Menus, however, were dirty.Got the Coastal Platter (16.99). A lot of food! Preface by saying I wanted okra and catfish, but they were out of both. So I got flounder, oysters, trout, mac and cheese, fries, and it comes with puppies. I found the trout ok but would have preferred catfish. Would skip it. The flounder was fried nicely, light and flavorful. Excellent. Oysters were also fried nicely with a hint of sweet bite to them. Excellent, too. Would totally reorder both the flounder and oysters. Mac and cheese and fries are good, accompanying sides. Puppies did nothing for me and needed butter.Service was good and waitress attentive. Needs to work on inventory a bit as was really looking forward to okra and catfish.Fry Daddy's is true to its name with an exhaustive fried menu. Are you looking for fried food without the grease splatter mess? This is a good option. Details, however, can make it great.Parking: Small.“
“I heard so much about this place and so I had to eventually try it, and it didn't fail me. I had the chitterlings and collards, and potatoe salad and I bought chicken salad and pineapple cake and pig picking cake. I know that's a lot but didn't know if I would be going again. But it was pretty good I must say.. I just needed me some fried cornbread. The owner came out and she was so nice and stood on her product. She sold me and my cousin.. it's definitely worth the try.. I'm full as a tick.“
“The food was all very tasty. The service was ok but slow. Very slow. It took more than 20 minutes for mixed drinks and more than 30 minutes for our entrees. My husband was joking with the waitress about "do I need to go back there?" and she was not amused. After that, she seemed to have an attitude with him. To the point that when she brought HIS food, she almost threw it at him.The food, though, was so good. We will definitely go back, and hopefully, the service will not be so slow.“
“It's Waffle House so you know what to expect in some ways but the atmosphere was the best. I sang Barry White with the wonderful Lady calling out orders. Everyone working did so in harmony. They were laughing, joking and it just felt good to see. By far the best experience I've had in Waffle House.“
“The waiter made sure our food was made just the way we wanted and was speedy with his service and. Very friendly with kids we had a great experience and im handicapped so that says a lot . I felt like a VIP client thank youKid-friendliness: The waiter was very patient with friendly with out extremely messy toddler and swept up after him numerous times during the meal i was grateful for the positive energy and kindness he showed usWheelchair accessibility: The place is set up to make any table ready for someone in a wheelchair and the restroom was accessible for wheelchairs and clean“
“They have some great food it is hot have friendly staff in the waitress keep the glass full and always have a smile on their face and they say come again if I had all the money in the world I would tip some of the wedges but I'm not Bill Gates or Donald Trump but I will recommend the people come to Western eat on Sundays through Saturdays on the better Business Bureau I will give this restaurant A+ I am very picky who makes my food“
“We often visit Logan's and until the last visit were more than satisfied. Last time we ordered Potato Skins - they were very overdone and I was surprised that they actually served them. I'm not a 'fuss maker' so made the best of them although I did mention to our server that they were way overdone - no reaction.“
“It had been a while since my family and I had been to IHOP, partially due to Covid a few years ago. This particular visit was a birthday lunch for my boy girl twins. The food was very good. We enjoyed it very much. The only thing that concerned me a little bit was my waitress. For the most part, she waited the table pretty good but I felt like she was not as attentive as she was with the table next to us. I did not file or make a complaint, because nothing bad had happened. This will not stop us from revisiting to enjoy a good meal. I still tipped anyway because you never know why a person may or may not be doing as well as they could possibly could.Dietary restrictions: They do offer gluten-free pancakes“
“The Best Dawg In Town is the slogan for Pikeville Dawg House. Its a really small town. As such, the slogan shoots way below the actual quality of the hot dog. It could be one of the best hot dogs in the state based on my experience. The hot dog chili was very good. Very inexpensive. Outdoor picnic tables were convenient.“
