“We have been to 1906 a handful of times and it's always great! Sunday we split a roast beef sandwich which was fabulous. I would just suggest toasting that roll because it was totally soggy on the bottom. But, i would order again! And the service is always efficient and friendly.“
“We were traveling thru town and needed lunch. We were unsure of where to eat, but happily, we found Shep's grill. Lunch was great. We both had burgers and Tater Tots. Sometimes, simple done well is the perfect lunch. We had that a Shep's.“
“I drive past Poormans Restaurant every day going to work, and I rarely stop. This past Saturday, I decided to place a takeout order and was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the young lady was, who took my order. Restaurants and the food service industry in general have really been on the decline as far as customer service goes and the basics of just greeting the customers. So to my surprise, when I went in to pick up my order, the restaurant was very crowded and there was a long line to check out and again the couple of people working the register and prepping the food order were so friendly, so nice so patient. It was very refreshing to see good service for a change. The food is great. I left them a good tip in the jar and I will be back!“
“The Mulberry House held our wedding reception in May of 2023. It was such a beautiful day and I was very pleased with my experience working with the Mulberry House team. There were a few moments of miscommunication; but I think that was mainly due to some staff turnover during the time. They were so kind to a nervous bride dealing with potential rain weather impacting the rooftop celebration. The food, atmosphere, location, and staff was wonderful. I would absolutely recommend them for weddings! Thank you!“
“This is the best Waffle House hands down and the best place to get breakfast in Washington, NC. The people that work her are amazing. So kind and cheerful. The food comes out quick and always is exactly as ordered. Nothing about this place is lacking.“
“The food is great, it was a little crowed, but I still enjoyed the food and my time there!Parking: When I saw, there was about 7 parking lots available, and if you park on the street, It doesn’t matter because of how close the parking is to the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: First, there’s arcade machines, coloring sheets, and yea!“
“I would give high ratings to the food. All our choices were delicious and the ambience and feel of the dining area was really nice. I had the catch of the day and the sauce was fantastic We arrived early, so our service experience was quite good though not stellar. As time went by the restaurant became more crowded, and since there was only two waiters, I would guess that later diners would not have had quite as good of service experience. Toward the end of our meal, the wait staff were on a practically a full run, and it took us a long time to get our bill. This is another establishment to present a bill with 20% tips minimum listed on the bottom, and the tip amount actually includes the tax which is getting to be very common. Apparently, we are now not only expected to pay 20% at least on the rising cost of food and overpriced libations but now we have to pay at least 20% on the taxes.“
“I live in Raleigh but like to visit Little Washington a few times a year. The Hackney has been on my "to-eat" list, and I finally made it there. I am so glad that I did. It is an Autumn approved restaurant. The historic building is beautiful & was restored very nicely. The space has great energy. I loved the music that they were playing & the big windows. The food was delish! I had the fish & chips. The tartare hollandaise was amazing. I am still thinking about it days later. For dessert, I had vanilla creme brulee which is one of my favorites. It was very well done. I had the New Year, New Mule cocktail to go with it. The cocktail was so tasty. I didn't think that I was really a gin fan, but I would totally order that drink again. After my meal, Chef Davis came out to ask me how everything was & chatted with me for a few minutes. That was classy & made my day. He is good people.I will definitely be going back to The Hackney for a second visit. I love supporting local establishments that excel at what they do. I will encourage others to visit as well.Parking: There is street parking right out front, or there is a parking lot a few blocks away. Both are free.Kid-friendliness: I love kids but wouldn't bring them here. This is a grown up experience.“
