Was in town and wanted to try something local and not a chain. Went in placed an order for a steak and cheese sub and it came out fast and was great. The staff was pleasant as well.
You can't go wrong with ordering from Ernie's! I discovered this place a couple of years ago while I was working in Greenville. At first glance you wouldn't realize what a gem it is, but the food is incredible! I'm a fan of their Pepper Steak AND the Cheese Steak sandwiches, ordered "all the way." They are absolutely wonderful and you won't find a sub this good anywhere else in Eastern North Carolina! Literally the best in NC hands down. If you're from Philly, this is right there with an authentic cheesesteak. From the service, the space, down to the food. Even the bread is seasoned. And you can eat it next day and oh my God...bomb! Love it here!
