Terrible service. Rude employees. Quality of cake is bad, with the price they charged me, I shouldn’t be getting Walmart quality. I had better cake for cheaper from food lion, and food lion cakes are awful. They used to be great, what happened?

If you want something sweet, this is the place to go. The prices are high but the sweets are excellent. However, I don't like this new trend where they are asking you for a tip when they ring up the purchase.

It was ok a bit pricey. I wanted a regular be plain brownie but it was like a turtle brownie. Wasn’t too much of a fan. It was $8 and some. Want worth it to me.

I love this cake spot!!!!! I'll be the first to tell anyone and everyone to make the trip to Greenville just for this place. I dare to say it is the best cake spot in NC and surrounding states. I'm a travel nurse and have tried 100s of places throughout NC, VA, and SC. This is hands-down the best in my opinion. The cake is moist, they provide a glorious amount of icing, the icing tastes exactly like the intended flavor, they're LARGE slices, made fresh daily and again SO amazingly moist. I tend to purchase two cake boxes worth of slices when I visit and they're still moist, icing holds its flavor, shape and they're delicious even after a week in the refrigerator. I have put them in the freezer as well and they're still phenomenal a month later.
The only negative thing I have to say is that sometimes the customer service is lacking. Though it isn't enough of a problem to make me turn away from such an amazing spot. I just have to remember it is high school kids or college kids running the register and keep it moving.
Oh and if you go on Wednesday or Thursday, get the chicken and pastries/ chicken and dumplings/ whatever you call them. They're phenomenal!!!!! I'm saying they're not something I would naturally order myself at a restaurant, let alone a bakery but 100% worth it.

Tykita, I was sitting in Confection Connection eating my delicious soup when you came in and witnessed your entire interaction with the young ladies at the front and the owner. You were INCREDIBLY rude to them. Taking personal affront that your cake that you believed you were entitled to wasn’t available to you at 2:45 pm. They will let you pre-pay if you want to hold a slice. CC is very popular and their sweet treats sell out quickly. Would you have been so entitled and rude if they had sold out before you got there approximately 2:45 pm? You were the person who was rude, loud and hostile to all of them to the point I almost interrupted my lunch and came around to your right and said something to calm you down.
And as far as “our kind seems not to be acknowledged?!” They asked kindly as they always do how could they help you. The cake wasn’t ready, but would have been with in a few more hours. If you hadn’t been so rude and loud, you might have noticed that they had cupcakes on your flavor that you could have bought. Your “kind” hasn’t been treated any different than anyone else. YOU were the problem. I witnessed the entire situation and CC did nothing wrong. Go drive to Fayetteville. You reveal just how entitled you believe you are in that comment alone. We don’t need people coming into any business with an agenda, sense of entitlement and being rude and hostile. Too bad for you I witnessed it from the beginning to when you stomped out the door to leave. And btw, I went right back to my lunch.
Those looking for a problem always seem to find one when they are the one causing it. Confection Connection is great. Has great soup and sandwiches. You want good chicken pastry? Come on Thursday.

I'm starting to wondering if they don't want our kind at this bakery. The cakes are delicious. The service is never good our kind seems not to be acknowledged. I've seen this in the comments as well. Two of my employees also have had this experience. I was told on a Saturday a cake would be ready in the afternoon or the following Tuesday. I went late Tuesday and the cake still wasn't ready. I asked was it still cooling because that's what they told me. Noone has time to keep coming back and the items were not ready. This will be my last time. I will drive to Fayetteville where the service is good Superior Bakery.

Wow! These cakes are amazing! The chocolate cake tastes like real chocolate ... not the chemical-like ultra processed cheap chocolate flavored grocery store or chain bakeries (😉 you know the ones I am talking about)! A new favorite place when visiting Greenville, NC!

Heard about this from friends...especially chicken and pastry Thursday...solid lunch menu, but homemade soups seem to be the savory stars of the menu. However, the real draw is the variety of baked goods...I mean 12 to 15 different cakes!!! plus pies and cookies...everything I sampled was wonderful. Staff was knowledgeable and accommodating for our group of 6. Thanks for a great experience.

Seriously, this is THE place for a piece of cake. It's absurd how good Clarissa's cakes are. And don't sleep on those peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. Have to mention the chicken salad as well, simply stated, it's good. period.
One more point, good things aren't cheap, cheap things are cheap for a reason. The sweets, the chicken salad, all worth the money you invest.
Should also mention the front staff is always helpful, smiling and prompt with service.
Blackbeard and his Pirate Crew would love this place, because there's nothing but hidden treasure within the display cases and cake containers.

We ordered a 10” yellow cake with chocolate icing a couple days before the Memorial Day holiday, and they accommodated our late order. This cake was one of the best cakes I have ever eaten anywhere! We’ll be back for more cakes for sure.

Biggest issue I have been having is their hours, Many times me or my significant other have stopped in to get cake on the days that the sign on their door and those same hours are listed on google and they are not open. I understand if people don’t have the employees but maybe modify and list your hours to reflect when you will actually be open, inconsistency when it comes to when you are open is a huge thing that can hurt a business. Maybe we will try to stop in again sometime but having stopped 6 different times and only being about to get cake once out of those 6 times has definitely discouraged me from stopping
