Looking for a place to eat in a strange town. Found Cubbies and decided to stop. The minute we stepped through the door, we were greeted by the staff and welcomed . Seated promptly and drink order taken. Food was brought to the table promptly and hot. I had the hamburger steak and onion ring, slaw. Wife had chicken with vegetables, onion rings, and slaw. We enjoyed our food and were constantly checked on by staff to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely stop at Cubbies when we're in town.
I met what I believe was the owner and helped him get the correct mounting screws for his license plate on a vehicle e had outside where I worked at ACE Hardware. It truly what we do there is help folks. He gave me a card with his name on it and stated to have lunch on him at Cubbies. I did go to check out his restaurant with my son, and I ordered a double cheeseburger, and my son had a Grilled Chicken Sandwich. We both had fries. I love supporting local businesses, and the food was excellent, as was the service. I didn't use the card on this occasion. I will be returning to this establishment again. First time I went to Cubbies was in the late 80's when my friend was going to ECU. I go EVERY time I'm even close to Greenville and now my son is attending ECU so I can get my Cubbies fix on the regular. Damn good cheesesteak and great service!!
