Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries

Disappointing service & disgusting. Place is not clean. Also, put a drink in a cup covered with foil & painter’s tape.

I go there because servicevis usually quick.

My boyfriend and I stopped here about 30 min before closing on 9/10. We felt bad stopping in so close to closing but the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The 2 cooks and waitress had the best attitude, they did not make us feel like we were an inconvenience for coming in 30 min before closing. Not only was the service great, but our cheesesteak were amazing too!

I just had a the best cheese steak from the dude with long hair. Prompt service and exceptionally cooked. Definitely will be returning again

I couldn't believe how filthy the dining floor was! My feet were sticking to the floor, there were dirty napkins under many of the tables and out in the open in the isle - ways. My table was sticky and there were no napkins in the napkin holder. Booth seats were dirty and many were ripped. This location needs a complete 360 overhaul - including the staff! The staff NEED to get off of their phones while they are working. Phones shouldn't be allowed on the work floor. Employees should look neat - not sloppy looking. Management was not available. Food service was prompt - the fries were ok but my burger was so small! When I asked the server questions about the menu - the server did not know very much. I gave the server 2 stars instead of 1 because she did smile and was pleasant. NOT eating here ever again!!!😠

Decided to stop in at this location since I was in the local area, walked in and noticed no a/c, it was very hot inside, against my better judgement placed my to go order anyway, they were out of several drink options,waited nearly 30 min so I asked about my order( they were not busy) the cooks hadn't even started on it so I asked for a refund & left. I will not be going back to this location. The best highway 55 around is the Tarboro NC location ,it is worth the extra drive!

You’ll get sick. Disgusting. I didn’t know nc allowed such a low sanitation score. 92?! Horrible customer service-the incoherent mumbling slang from the disinterested staff passes for their communication skills. Not a manager in sight. Not one employee They’re too worried about playing on their phone, sitting down, Didn’t have half the menu. Floor was muddy dirty. It hadn’t rained in days. Every chair and booth was damaged. The ceiling tiles were stained, damaged and mismatching. Motor scooter in the middle of the floor. Duct taped, stained rusty grill station. No gloves, no hair nets. Empty gumball machine. Is this a restaurant or a decrepit storage room where sanitation and customer service come to die? Next call is corporate.

This location should be shut down. Everything is falling apart. It looks abandoned but there are still people here serving food, and they also deserve better. The food and supplies are different from all other hwy 55, its a disaster zone. Do not come here. The owner is cutting too many corners and it is blatantly obvious.

This place looked run down, lights were only on in the kitchen, people were not appropriately dressed for work, the place was also sticky and not cleaned. The food was definitely not that good and the employees should be more presentable. I would not recommend going here.

The employee, Victor added an additional 30% tip to my total without my permission nor my discretion. Not only is stealing unacceptable, it was an extremely absurd decision on Victor’s behalf considering that card payments can be tracked. After speaking with the manager it was confirmed that the tip was wrongfully added. I was offered a refund by the owner in 2-3 business days.

I made a phone order today and order 37$ worth of food and the server destiny was so sweet as she took my order. I told her I was outside due to having my dog. She brought my order and drinks to me and I don’t see that and most restaurants these days and when I told her this my first time coming to this location she said well when you come back I personally make sure you want to come back. And she made my first day of the new year food experience great. Whoever own these location she a keeper.

By far my worst experience. I hadn’t been here in a few years. Decided to give it a try again. Service was terrible. Ordered French fries and got tots instead. We also ordered a side of onion rings we never got. Also didn’t get our other side of tater tots for our meal until we were done with our food. The place wasn’t even busy and was pretty lonely so don’t know why it took so long. Workers were just on their phones. This is probably why this place doesn’t have good business anymore.

The food was like any other HWY 55. The staff on the other hand not that pleasing and very rude. The two young males were very condescending and liked to make fun of the customers. The older man that cooks was very sweet and accomadating. The waitress was very sweet and helpful.
