I wasn't expecting a lot of vegetarian options coming here in the first place but was pleasantly surprised at the handful of vegetarian sushi options they had as well as several appetizers.
Vegetarian options: You just have to search the menu and verify with your waiter.

Shogun will always hold a special place in my heart, as I played an integral role in its development and success for a period of time.
The restaurant struggled after Leo passed, but the quality is back and Sherry is doing an excellent job carrying on Leo’s legacy.
I travel often and eat sushi in any town I go, but Shogun feels like home. The food is delicious, but the element of community is what is most important.
Parking: Normal parking situation.

Had the worst experience ever. The bartender Kelly M was the rudest person in the industry I have ever encountered. Kelly sat there and talked so badly about her customers. They won’t allow you to have appetizers while you wait 2 hours to be seated. They never get you a table even though there were so many tables open with no help what so ever. The manager was super nice but her staff does not respect her what so ever. Will never come back to this establishment ever again. Do not know how they stay in business with that personnel

Our family has been enjoying sushi and sake at Shogun for years. We highly recommend to anyone looking a new lunch spot with friends, dinner date with your spouse or a family dinner! The food is always fresh and the service is always great :) 10/10

Amazing food and service! Been coming here for years & always will when craving sushi.
Our waitress was amazing and so kind! But I will not be eating at that establishment again! My mom and I ordered the shrimp, filet mignon and california roll. The filet mignon was a tough, cheap cut of meat. It was ordered medium-rare and came out well done, our waitress got a new steak for us and this time it was raw! The california roll was warm (it’s supposed to be cold). Thankfully our waitress was kind enough to not charge us for the steak dish.
The bathrooms also looked like they had not been cleaned, paper towels on the ground and toilets were dirty.
I was highly disappointed!

After reading reviews I chose this place to celebrate my brother's birthday. We went during Lunch. Tables and aisles are narrow. Decor was decent but the big disappointment was the quality of the food. I've been a number of Hibachi restaurants and here the food is barely seasoned, they pile on the vegetables and skimp on the protein. The white sauce most people love is oddly thick and the taste is off. The saving grace was the Sushi. Even the hibachi rice was lacking seasoning. The prices are inflated and not worth the quality. During my visit it seemed as only 2 waiters working and 3 other staff members just standing around. It will be a long time before giving this place another chance. Maybe Dinner service is different.

Food is good, but takeout has been up to 15 minutes later than the ready notification
[Updating my review from 6 years ago.] Favorite sushi restaurant in Greenville, I have now been going there for over decade. Tonight my significant other forgot her purse (shoutout to T {8/27/24} the bartender we got it back no problem) and I was reminded how much I love this place. Love the rolls, love the sashimi, love the gyoza. Seriously try the pork Gyoza.

Walked in, saw the 90 sanitation grade, and left. Make of it what you will. As someone who has worked in food service, this is not an acceptable score to me.
