Some of the best fried herring I have ever eaten. Cooked perfectly to my liking. Service was top drawer. I did eat at a non-peak time, and the hospitality was over the top. I saw some fine looking meals, but if you like herring, this is the place to go.

We came across this hidden jewel and had a very good home style lunch. Next time I am in the area, I hope to eat there again.

My husband and I stopped in on a whim on the way to Raleigh. Just a few miles off 264W. Wonderful little “Mom & Pop” Establishment. Great cheese biscuits!

Country ham this time tasted old....maybe just a bad package.

$30 for two people the price was kind of high for no more of a selection than they had. The fried chicken had absolutely no taste to it bout like everything else I tried. The banana pudding would be the only thing on the buffet worth having but still not worth $15.

I had heard this place advertised and out of curiosity decided to go there. The restaurant was definitely a "country kitchen". It was located in a remote rural area and housed in what looked to be an old fashion country store. The employees were friendly and gave a large portion of food. The food was okay as well.
