My husband got two salads to go for us yesterday evening. His was fine, but mine wasn’t. I ordered the green goddess salad, and it was disgusting. I ordered it with no bacon and I added eggs. The salad had eggs and bacon in it. Most of the lettuce was dark brown and wilted; it looked like it had gone bad. The tiny amount of avocado was dark brown, almost black. I threw it in the trash and called the restaurant. They apologized and offered to remake the salad, so my husband went back to pick it up. No bacon this time, and they added the eggs. The avocado looked green and fresh, but most of the lettuce was again brown and disgusting. I picked out the abundance of brown lettuce and ate some of the salad and threw the rest away because my appetite was ruined at that point and I wasn’t sure if the lettuce was spoiled and had possibly contaminated the rest of the salad. I’m considering calling the health department to see if I should report this. We won’t be going to Newk’s again.

Love the food here! Some of the best in Greenville, NC! I usually order online and love being able to customize my selections. You can use Door Dash directly or the Newk's site and then they will set up your delivery with Door Dash. The only issue I had was with packaging, which is a small personal preference, however the Manager, Molly heard my concerns and went above and beyond to resolve my experience. Newk's is my go-to for Pizza or Salads and I am never disappointed with the quality or taste. I highly recommend!
