I am a direct support worker with an individual on the spectrum and let me tell you, The Parker's on gville blvd deserves so much recognition. All the cashiers and employees are so incredibly patient with my client. He needs no help paying or even ordering despite his severe speech impediment/cognitive delays, because they ALL take the time. Today even with a line out of the door they all greeted him (he loves Parker's so they are familiar) and took the time to understand his order and even worked with him to ensure he got what he wanted with his budget.
It is the ONLY place we go where I can just sit back and let him take the lead because they have so much patience and honestly just human decency!!

we've been to Parker's dozens and dozens of times over the years and they typically have fantastic food and great service! Our last trip was not as good but realize that everyone can have an off day. tonight we arrived at 7:01. and were told the dining room was closed (even though their website says open until 7:30). they reluctantly allowed us to come in and sit down. we knew exactly what we wanted - oysters and shrimp. the server comes to our table and tells us that the fryers are off and they only have bbq and chicken. this is our second poor experience in a row at Parker's - so we're going to give it one more shot - but three strikes and we're out!

My husband and I traveled from Virginia to taste some NC barbecue. We stayed in Wilson for the night and decided to try Parker’s barbecue. We were greeted and told to sit anywhere. We sat down a waiter came and took our drink order then returned for our food order….we didn’t see him again. Our food was brought by a different person and that was the last person we saw. We were never checked on after that. Food was good but it would have been nice to have been checked on to see how it was and if we needed refills . Don’t think it will be on our barbecue trail stop again.

Ordered bbq and Brunswick stew online. Original order came as promised. However, while heating a lb. of stew the boil in bag failed and it was ruined. I contacted customer service and two days later had not 1, but 4 lbs arrive to replace the ruined stew. Exceptional customer service. Can't wait to actually try the bbq and stew. I'm confident I won't be disappointed and will be ordering again.soon.
Wasn't that good at all, needs to change the grease for fresh chicken fry.. everything was not good

This place has awesome food! If you love chicken gizzards like I do then you'll probably like the ones they have here which are lightly fried and not rubbery. The staff were all super friendly and I will be visiting again in the future
Probably good because it's Parkers but all should offer family style I didn't eat at this location because it doesn't have it. Love their food.

Loved the chicken strips. Green beans needed help. Tasted like they came from a can. Wasn't a fan of the slaw. Less pickle juice more mayo? To finally chopped for my liking. Mac and chees need more salt and pepper or a bread crumble topping.

The food was good. Service was good however it was so cold in there I couldn’t finish my meal. The employees stayed that they had to keep it cold because the floors would sweat and become dangerous. I’m sorry but people shouldn’t need to wear a sweater or jacket to eat in a restaurant .

My husband & I made a road trip all the way from VA to get some of the bbq & slaw,
so far it was very tasty. Well worth the ride there, might make another trip soon to dine in.
