This was a great place to go on an easy hike. Lots of trails to venture to. Beautiful area to see some nature and get your steps in. There are also options for fishing, camping, and kayaking. This area is also pet friendly. Absolutely would recommend!

The aquarium is very nice, a large screen theater. Large play area. And a fishing pond. I Love this place

A must visit. Lots of fishing spots too.

A small but satisfactory auditorium for assembly in case of inclimate weather for Memorial Day observation 2023. Glad someone was thinking ahead to plan.

First time there today, it's a beautiful spot with plenty of room to fish, walk and have a nice little nature walk there! They may had it posted some where but I didn't see a sign for it, and that's the reason for the four star rate, but I found out that the place is infested with poison ivy which I'm highly allergic to and I found out when another passer by stopped to say hi and told be to be care about the sides of the walk paths and fishing spots that everywhere is completely ate up with the stuff.....I think there should have been alot more signs posted about it for people like me who are allergic to that plant.Playground: A couple little playground areas

Very fun! I don’t think it’s water I’d want to swim in so I’m a bit leery of kayaking in it but a great spot to get a little walking exercise in.

This park is one of Greenville's treasures. It's got a breathtakingly beautiful Water-Tupelo forest, nice trails, good birdwatching locations, an excellent screened-in camping platform by the river, an interesting Nature Center with a museum and classrooms, a great low-tech playground for kids (which used to have more fun junk for kids to play with -- they should bring it back!), and more. Some people here on Google are complaining about gar fish, claiming that they're wiping out native species. But Longnose Gars ARE native species in NC-- they definitely belong here more than the stocked catfish do!

We went here after lunch one day and it was the perfect hangout/walking spot. We took a walk down to the river. It was beautiful breezy day. Folks were fishing, walking their dogs, and hanging with their children. Seems like a great spot for laptop work as well.

Wonderfully friendly here welcoming staff with a beautiful nature center and lots of fun family events! Can't wait to walk the trails and fish once it warms up.

Nice to have some nature in the city. It has miles of trails and fishing ponds. The ponds are stock regularly and you do have to buy a fishing permit to fish at the ponds. They also let you camp here but you have to reserve at the park office. The trails can go pretty far along the Tar river. Spring and fall is the best time to come

Very nice park along the Tar River. It has some walking trails and access for kayaks or canoes to the river. It is still under construction but enjoyable right now. Can't wait to see when completed.

Wide improved trails, fishing docks and a few grills and picnic areas. A few p*** stations for furry companions.
