I have been to Side Bar before maybe a year ago and I don't know if things changed or if I changed but I'm glad I gave it a try again. Previously I didn't think the portion sizes were big enough or tasty enough for the high price but when I visited this time I was 100% satisfied, I even needed a to go box.I went with my husband after work for what I told him would be apps and cocktails. We had 1 drink each that we loved. I had the Pecan Honey Rum Sour, he had the Paloma.We had the chorizo empanadas and chicken tinga nachos as appetizers. I LOVED the nachos. Our server Ashlyn was amazing! She was very friendly and welcoming. She knew the menu well and was able to make recommendations based on what we told her we liked. Everything she recommended was fantastic. We were torn when choosing between a few things. The nachos were her recommendation and we loved them. It was also alot bigger than we expected and well worth the price. We also got the Korean Fried Chicken tacos and the Chicken Flautas. I was so full that I only tasted these two but they were really good. The korean tacos were full of flavor! I wasn't expecting it. They were sweet and spicy and so filled that stuff was falling out when I took my first bite. I liked the chicken flautas but they weren't as flavorful as the Korean tacos but that was to be expected. It was also a big portion, the two flautas were on top of rice and beans.Everything was well worth the price because of taste and portion size. The atmosphere was great but if it is a busy time it will fill up quickly due to it's size. There is also outside seating and the area looks nice and there are heat lamps. If you have the pleasure of having Ashlyn as your server you will have the best experience ever!Parking: There are a few spots on the street. There is also a lot on the side and around the back of the restaurant. Signs say it's paid parking.Kid-friendliness: I saw a couple with a baby carrier in a high chair so I know they have high chairs. The food is all sharable so it's good for kids. I don't recall seeing a kids menu.

Food isn't bad, but it's extremely overpriced. I've been in the restaurant industry a few years and I noticed almost immediately when I came how the owner, who I learned their name but will not share up here, treats her servers. It's awful. I heard her calling a server stupid, and she would immediately talk about them when they left. My server personally was extremely nice, so I don't even understand it. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is different then most of Greenville, it's a cool place. The treatment of staff itself though just ruined it for me.

Very cool hipster vibes from the decor to the music that reminded me of Seattle. I'm glad there is a place like this in Greenville that makes me feel more at home. I got the spicy carne asada burrito. It was especially spicy even for me so I can see it being too spicy for others. Portion is large and I took half of it home. Service was a bit off as we could not find our waitress at one point however it may have been shift change and won't stop me from coming back.

First time here. Probably the last. The female bartender opening new 1/5 with her mouth, Kinda turned us off. We didn’t eat. Your mileage may vary. We aren’t gonna drink where they open the bottles with their teeth. Ugh. #stayclassygreenvilleUpdate-the owners were awesome and reached out. We did go back! And really had a good night. Great food. So just wanted to also say they took care of it and we are glad we went back.

Side bar is a lovely little bar and restaurant in Uptown. Their drinks and dishes were all Latin inspired. While everything we tried was very delicious, they were also not at all what we expected when looking at the menu. I recommend coming to side bar if you would like to be pleasantly surprised and try new dishes and combinations. It's the perfect place for evening drinks and food with friends. I must also comment that we adored the glassware our drinks came in and inside is lovely. The large bar with open shelves and plants is definitely the focal point. They also have spacious patio seating.
