I reserved a window table for 2 for our anniversary. When we arrived at the scheduled time... they had given away our table. And then they seated us right next to the bathroom...they refused to move us and were snotty about it. I was pissed, as you can imagine. We left... I'll never go back.

The chef did not know how to fry an egg. The grits were pretty good though.

Visiting Greenville to show my son ECU campus were,I was a student in 1975. Found the Kraken on Yelp, A great place close to campus. Food was above what I was expecting. Great find.

Everything was good! Sad they had to close early tho. It was my friend's birthday and they were nice enough to make us a fun drink. We definitely would order the chicken bites and nachos again.

My boyfriend and I dined in about a month ago. We ordered the gumbo and voodoo shrimp wraps. Both were absolutely amazing! Service was also great!

Very unassuming bar & grill that serves cajun style food. You will not be disappointed. Our table had the loaded steak fries, wedge salad and gumbo combo, cajun chicken alfredo, and the shrimp & grits. Everything served was delicious. We went on a Sunday afternoon, so it was not crowded. Located in ECU college town, I assume it gets busy on the weekends, but I am unsure.

I've seen this place passing by so often that I'm glad to finally stop by. The drinks were affordable and very good. Nachos were excellent and burgers were delicious. Our bartender Grace was excellent. She was friendly and quick and made the experience next level great. I'll definitely be coming back again.

I brought my family here twice in the last 2 weeks. First visit was stellar food and service was great atmosphere was pleasant. Today's visit was terrible from start to finish. We asked to be seated in a booth. Which at this time only two other groups of people were in the restaurant. Neither of which we're at the booths against the wall. We were instead put at one of the high tables in a corner my elderly mother has back issues which is the reason we asked for a booth. We ordered the nachos as an appetizer they were stale. When we brought this to the attention of our waitress Mary B she said no they are not stale they are fresh. We offered for her to try one so she could see for herself she refused and walked off. Our first visit last week we ordered Cajun pasta with shrimp and it was delicious full of cheese sauce and toppings. Today we ordered the same thing it was almost a completely different dish. Noodles were dry to the touch with no cheese sauce to be found completely bland dish. Again I brought this to the attention of our waitress and her response is well I don't make the food. Our waitress never once offered to get the manager or offered any form of rectification for the issues. For almost $100 this has to be the biggest let down for both food and service. We were excited to visit a newfound restaurant that we thought to be delicious with great service. Made the drive all the way from Wilson to eat here again. I don't think we'll be back for a third visit for a long time if ever. Thanks to Mary B, the chef on duty, and the greeter. Absolute complete failure across the board for The Blackened Kraken today. Do better.

Definitely on the pricier side, but it is delicious! I got the shrimp and grits and it does have a little kick to it

Mediocre at best. The best thing about this place was the service. I had the gumbo and a Voodoo Shrimp Wrap and was disappointed with the food, as it lacked that Nawlins flavor. I do not recommend these dishes. Under flavored food (unless you count salt), and the flavors just did not come together well.
As the Blackened Kracken seems like it would be a nice place to catch a cold drink with friends, I'll give them one more shot.
