“We stopped in for some ice cream and really enjoyed our scoops. Sat on the covered porch until we finished the larger than expected portions. We didn't sign up for one of the tours but could see one of the cows from the porch. Not too busy the day we stopped. Will probably stop by again when up in that neck of the woods.”

“I ordered over the phone for pick up. When I got to the restaurant I was greeted with smiles. The warmth of welcoming me generated off the owners of the place. The food was good. Homemade coleslaw, cornbread muffin, and seasoned fries helped make the meal. The cost is very affordable and with the size of the plates you get great value for what you pay. The plate had weight to it, it was not light. I took a few menus to place at work and I hope this place stays in business a long time. I highly recommended it for the hospitality, pricing value, and quantity of food you get.”

“Have been eating there for almost 60 years, personally I think it's the best there is. I tried it in Chicago, Montreal, Maine, New York, Miami, no BBQ like that except Eastern North Carolina and it's the best there is, I drove a tracktor trailers and searched some, after I tried in state after state in different areas, None of them are close. Sam's BBQ in Greenville NC is a close second and he is even kin to Pete.”

“We stopped by after the most successful TRUMP Rally in KINSTON last Wednesday evening and the food was just wonderful, as were the desserts! What a virtual symphony of scrumptious tastes, textures, aromas and presentations! The only drawback was a noisy family of 4 children and 2 complacent adults nearby. They were WAY too impolite, loud and inconsiderate to be out in public eating at that, (9:30 PM) or ANY hour!! I so wish there were some sound absorbers installed....Fortunately, I had my trusty earplugs with me and was relegated to using them during the entire dining experience...”

“Husband had this pizza years ago at a rural location. He completely forgot about it until seeing sign at a different location in another very rural area. I personally have never had it and I'm extremely picky when it comes to pizza. It's one of my favorite foods. Well he suggested I try it because he remembers loving it over a decade ago. So I agreed and got a simple pepperoni pizza and then drove 15 mins home. Only cost $11.99 plus tax for a 12" Pizza which is cheapest pizza I've ever purchased. I had to rewarm it which made me hesitant on the quality. I was totally wrong. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER EATEN. First purchase for me was yesterday and today I went out and bought 2 more. Great dough, sauce, cheese the works. I will forever be a Hunt Brothers Pizza only..”

“We visited tonight as a treat that we don’t get much. We were VERY pleased with not only the food, but our service was exceptional. Madisyn was literally the SWEETEST server. Our glasses never got empty, we didn’t have to ask her for ANYTHING. She was on point, ahead of the game, and really deserves a raise. It’s hard to get good food AND service at the same time at a lot of places now, and she absolutely KILLED IT. They weren’t busy inside, but the pickup orders were SLAMMED. I literally cannot tell you how good it was. We will be coming back and we will be asking for her again. Quite honestly, she was the best server we’ve encountered in a long time.”
