I loved this! Such a nice place, would definitely recommend. The atmosphere was perfect! I got the pumpkin chai and the pumpkin roll, both were absolutely delicious! The pumpkin roll wasn’t too sweet, but the perfect level of sweetness. The pumpkin chai was absolutely delectable, it was so good! The staff was so kind. I also really liked their cool tip jar idea, it was a tip debate between hot and cold tea. You put your money in either the ‘hot’ jar or the ‘cold’ jar. It was so fun! I would love to go here again. 😄

Vegetarian options: Their muffins don’t have any meat (I think)

Kid-friendliness: The staff is kid friendly, and they have decaf options, and the pastries would be loved by any child!

We love the Dancing Turtle's new location next to the Red and White grocery store in Hatteras Village. In a beachy house with a beautiful yard and welcoming interior. Handmade baked goods as well as fun and delicious coffee drinks. I'm enjoying a fantastic Butter Rum muffin and frozen Raspberry White Chocolate mocha on their deck right now. Wow! And Staff is awesome. This is a must stop when we visit Hatteras.

This was my go-to spot for coffee during our vacation to Hatteras! The staff is very friendly - definitely felt the southern hospitality here! They have creative drink concoctions and seasonal offerings as well. Love the fact that they had an array of sugar free flavors and milk options. Will definitely go back on our next trip to Hatteras!

We took the early morning Ocracoke Ferry to Hatteras in search of a mom-and-pop coffee fix and stumbled upon this hidden gem…….. With a great selection of tasty tid -bits, outstanding personal service, and broad spectrum of coffee choice, The Dancing Turtle did not disappoint! An absolute pleasure to visit. As an added “wow” they have super awesome themed merchandise to scoop up. ….as a gift I nabbed a T-shirt for Tanya, of Tanya’s Turtle Project, an organization who is also dedicated to helping turtles (in Northern Virginia)!! This personable spot has now been entered into our “Must Stop” list every time we ride by! 🏍️

If you say that you are open on Google maps and that you are open on your own SIGN - THEN BE OPEN!! I drove a long way to come down here for a special coffee treat for the house and you AREN’T here. Also, I tried to call and confirm but there isn’t a working phone line! Please try to do better for your customers.
