Dinky's Waterfront Restaurant

Our wait to get a table was a long one as the place was packed… and it was totally worth it! We’ve been staying on Hatteras Island for about a dozen years and we’ve hit a lot of local restaurants in search of excellent seafood. Dinky’s tops the chart. Genuinely fantastic food AND staff. I have a feeling this will be an annual stop from here on out.

Amazing food and staff! They remember you as well. It's our family's favorite restaurant in the Outer Banks.

Absolutely superb. Who ever is running this kitchen knows the food and the people helping. From plating to seasoning/cooking everything was done perfectly.
I would put their food up against just about anyone on the east coast. Key west food has nothing on this kitchen. Bravo chef and kitchen staff.

Pretty good place. The crab and mussels were very dry and over cooked but it's hard to find those good anywhere. The steak was good and the service and view were excellent.

This quaint little place was recommended by our charter boat captain for dinner. Don't let the name of the restaurant fool you. This place is anything but 'dinky'. Fantastic service, low key and quaint with high quality food and atmosphere. Great views from the windows overlooking the marinas and sunset. Food was fantastic!

This place is awesome! Food is worth every penny and service is worth so much more! We ordered take-out and Olivia and the team at Dinky's made sure we had our order when we were finally able to arrive. Completely saved the day and the food was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend the blue crab ravioli, roasted duck dinner, and the tiramisu!!!!! Thanks again to the amazing closing shift!!!!!

Great atmosphere, service is good, bit everything on my plate was over cooked or just died in the window before it reached the table. Everyone else at our table enjoyed their food, so that's good 😆

Going to definitely go back to this place. We had a group of 10 without a reservation and these people accommodated to us immediately.
I had the whole speckled trout which was DELICIOUS!

Ate here twice last week and both times were amazing. We sat at the bar and the young lady bartending was one of the best bartenders I have ever seen. They were super busy but she kept up with everyone and never made us feel rushed. The soft crabs are the best anywhere, if they are on the specials DO NOT MISS! But honestly everything we had was delicious.
