Oh this brisket is just like butter baby! Not sure how they cook it down in Texas, JJs know what they're doing. Only have gotten food for pick up, but staff there is always super friendly. GREAT Place!

Small portions..extra fat brisket..paid for 5 meat sampler..only received 4Forgot the ribs. Thinking dinner was enough for 2 people..But Wrong!! Ain't nothing Texas size or taste! Very disappointing after eating there several times. I won't be back! They should be ashamed to have Texas on the name of their building!!!

If they had 10 stars I would give it first they have over a 95 % on their health inspection which is a green check mark 2nd we had been searching for a good place to eat REAL BBQ ummmm the brisket,ribs pulled pork,chicken and sausage were done to perfection the sides were great as well Mac and cheese slaw and baked beans were all great stop in you won't be disappointed we definitely will be back jj's yall are awesome keep up the great work!!

Great staff, and amazing food!! They let us sample multiple meats and sides for our upcoming wedding. My fiance loved it all. Hes not a huge potato salad person but liked theirs. I think our wedding guests will be very pleased! Owner John is also helpful and great.

Brisket was awesome and sauce had just the right bite to it. The ribs were also excellent. We did the 5 meat sampler for lunch and were stuffed. Should have packed half to go but neither me nor the wife could stop.

We are Louisiana folks and here for work my husband wanted to try it because we love BBQ and this place is as close to home when it come to BBQ the brisket is on point the ribs are on point the beans are the bomb potatoe salad is really good the Mac and cheese is great we eat here every other week and love it! Thank you for not vinegaring everything up as the other BBQ places do around here! This place is the best and will not go to another BBQ place in North Carolina! I believe it's the best in the state! The staff is also amazing! Nice and polite! Thank you for giving us Louisiana folks good BBQ cause you want get it no where else in North Carolina! ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️ most definitely!

Food was fantastic! Restaurant was clean and the staff was incredibly kind and sweet. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because they only have 1 options for kids (hot dog). We would definitely return here and appreciate the great meal today.

We stopped on a whim heading to Morehead from New Bern and enjoyed our late lunch. The Mac and cheese was our favorite side (not too spicy) followed closely by the potato salad. My husband enjoyed the chopped pork sandwich (listed as pulled pork). It was eerily quiet inside, some Texas county music would have been a nice addition... Dessert too! We will be back on a future trip through town.

The first time I came here the workers told me about the 5 meat sampler which was 25$ with 1lbs of all the meats so that's 5lbs all together and this was just last year which feed me and my girlfriend and then some and just recently I revisit it's 29$ but with less meat...SMH Never Again 60$ for What and a waste of gas also....
