I consider myself a pizza connoisseur, and Mario’s Pizza of Havelock is the best I’ve had. I’ve tried various mom and pops pizzerias in Havelock and New Bern, and I haven’t found one as appetizing as Mario’s Pizza. The sauce is rich, the cheese is high quality, and the crust (my favorite part) is crunchy, and not chewy!

Pizza places like this are a dying breed, so finding this one was very nostalgic. It's a simple menu, cheap good food and it's a you like it or you hate it situation.I loved this place so will likely return. Only thing I'd wish was different was if they had an arcade machine or gumball machine. Would really complete the old school late 80's/early 90's pizza joint vibe it has going.

Pizza has a cardboard crust and is soggy making it impossible to lift up to take a bite. We had to cut with a plastic knife and eat with a plastic fork. Very disappointed with the pizza. We had to buy a large salad for $7.95 as they do not serve side salads.They do not serve ice tea and we had to buy Pepsi for our drink.It was a cold windy day and we expected to warm up inside but instead they had the fans going making it cold inside.Luckily we do not live in Havloc and luckily we have the best Italian restaurant called Marsbella's which serves a great Pizza.
Good Pizza but the owner will not support his local community. I don't know why we need to support local if they don't support the local community as well. We have not ate here in over a year and we used to every other week or so.

My husband loves the lasagna which makes it easy for me for night and that he works grab a lasagna and that's plenty of food for him to take it to work leave me on the other hand I like their subs great food great atmosphere cozy
