⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ New York Deli - A Hidden Gem in Havelock
Don’t judge a book by its cover—this place is all about the food! If you’re from the city and know what a bodega vibe feels like, New York Deli will take you right back home. Sure, the storefront and interior might not wow you, but the food absolutely will.
Their gyro is my go-to, and it’s as authentic as it gets—bringing me straight back to Chicago. While I’m not from New York, I wouldn’t doubt it gives the same nostalgia to anyone from the Big Apple.
Arby’s might claim, “We have the meats,” but they’ve got nothing on New York Deli. The flavor, the portions, and the quality here are unmatched. For anyone craving a taste of the city in Havelock, this spot is a must-try.

This is a small independent sandwich place. $11 for a cold sub. $12 for a hot sub. $13 for meat on rice plate w/ vegetables. Price includes a can of soda w/ a small bag of chips.
Sub are at least as good as Jersey Mike's. All the hot subs are better imo. The lamb gryo and plate are both very good. The chopped cheese sub is also very good.

Both the chopped cheese and the cheesesteak are excellent. The gentleman running the place was very personable and obviously knows what he’s doing. Hidden gem this place is.

Exceptional customizable menu, very fair prices, hours are work-week friendly, and Moe’s bright hospitality to his customers is unmatched. Cheesesteak & chop cheese are definite must-tries for anyone unfamiliar or anyone missing that authentic Northeast cuisine. I urge Havelock to support this takeout staple, because after my third visit, it’s cemented that New York Deli will be one of my regular spots.

From now on if I'm eating out in Havelock, it will be here. My daughter and I was treated so well. We enjoyed the games available to play while the food was being prepared. Then the fact that when I finally got to eat the food was AMAZING topped it off. Highly recommend this place.
