Hoke Poke is a local Gem! We love the sushi, all designer like tacos and soups. Bar is fun too with live music. Highly recommend

My girlfriend and I moved here three years ago. She’s from New York and I’m from Chicago. We both lived in Miami for 25 years. We know good food. I’m certainly not knocking any other restaurants in our local area, but Pokey has such a unique taste and stands out from the rest. If you enjoy Asian fusion, I highly recommend this place. The food is excellent, and the service is outstanding.

Our expectations were different from experience. Food looks good on pictures but taste wasn’t good. Sushi tasted bad and noodles was just like I opened Top Ramen baggy. Kids love noodles but refused to eat it and they said it no good.

Julie greeted us as we came in. I loved the ambiance! The menu looked incredible. It was BOGO for tacos and my family recommended the fish taco and shrimp taco. The presentation was wonderful and the flavors were amazing! The tortilla had just the right crunch. I live in California and have had great tacos, but nothing like this! Will go again (hopefully) before I leave!
Highly recommend! And they have a beautiful porch in the back next to the creek and live music on weekends! Please give it a try!

After a thoroughly enjoyable meal sitting outdoors creekside we proceeded to exit the restaurant. As we were out there saying our goodbyes to our friend, the owner walks by us to enter the restaurant. She ignores us as we thanked her. A few minute later she. And back out to accuse us of not tipping appropriately on a $132 bill.
Well, first of all we had separate checks and even including the tip the we gave (20% each) it would not total that amount. We all said there must be a mistake and did she verify the receipts. She said nothing and turned back inside.
A few minutes later, after she didn’t come back out, I went inside to ask if we are good. She mumbled something and I asked if she was going to apologize to the ladies. She said no, at which time I used some socially unacceptable language.
She asked me to leave and as I did she followed me outside and reaccused us. We assured here we would never do that as we all had worked in the food service industry and treated people properly. I asked her if she confirmed and she got belligerent. So I returned the favor
At that time her brother shows up and gets in my face aggressively. As I backed up to start recording on my phone, she grabbed it from my hands. That, my folks, is illegal. My wife proceeded to call the police. He then continued to get in my face aggressively.
The police refused to let me press charges and she refused to apologize. All we wanted was an apology.

Nice atmosphere, great service, awesome drinks, and my favorite place to get Pho locally. It is pricey, but fair considering the type and quality of food you're getting.

We would gladly spread the word. Our waiter implied the restaurant was part of a chain. Which association? We would gladly enjoy being part of your customer base. Meal prices very good. Wine list prices-seemed to be a very low markup-superb ! Quality of food , service, ambience-wonderful. Wish we had brought our finery to match the restaurant's! This restaurant in the small town of Hayesville, North Carolina is absolutely world class. We had dinner there this past week and everything from a drink in the bar before dinner to the decadent desserts after dinner was A plus!! We have been there many times, as we have a summer home in the mountains; and we have never had a bad meal there. If you are in the vicinity of western NC, take the time to find the Copper Door. You'll be glad you did.

Reservation was made on Open Table. We were seated promptly at the appointed time. Accommodations were made for a motorized chair for one of my guests. Our server was well versed on the menu and specials. We all started with the red pepper bisque. It was served hot and was delicious. All 3 of us had filets--cooked perfectly and tender. The sides were great -- baked potato, sweet potato mash and grits as well as the vegetables. Will definitely be back. Wait staff was attentive without being obtrusive.

My daughter asked if just her and I could go out to eat to spend time together. I have been wanting to take her to the Copper Door for a while. I made a reservation and we went. She ordered the filet and she said it was the best steak she has ever had. I had the prime rib that was on special and it was great as well. We ordered the Creme Brulee for desert and it was also amazing. It is the same great food and great service every time that we go. I love the Copper Door and would advise anyone and everyone to try it. If you live in Hayesville and have never tried it then you are truly missing out. Thank you again to the staff at the Copper Door for making a great memory for my daughter and I.
