Stop by on the way from Virginia. They got it all wrong and barbecue didn’t look or taste like barbecue. It was pull chicken I’m sure. They all wanted to come talk to me/us. They charged me what they wanted to charge me. I want be going back.

We liked our entrées. The barbecue was very good and the chicken strips are working, juicy and humongous. The hush puppies were tasty, but we weren’t such a fan of the potato salad, which we both thought was too sweet and for some reason my boyfriend did not like the coleslaw. It was very quick, clean and nice customer service And the bathrooms were nice too.

This is the go-to place for real country homestyle meals. My favorite item on the menu is the full-size bag of Fresh Skins for a nice price of $5.99 per bag. You won’t find Fresh baked Skins anywhere that is cooked to perfection like it is at Smithfield.As far as I am concerned Smithfield Fresh Skins are a high-end delicacy. What hurts the most about the Smithfield Fresh Skins is when they have sold out for the day. To get them you have to get there early in the afternoon to avoid being disappointed when they have sold out.My next favorite food item is the chopped pulled Bar-B-Q. Tasty, tender, and full of sweet pork goodness. If you love country homestyle food then Smithfield is the place to get it.Love the cleanliness, and the wonderful old style pictures on the wall makes this a very unique place to dine.
When I say the food at Smithfield's is YUMMY please believe me. My husband and I stop here anytime we are in the area. I also want to comment on the customer service which only adds to the experience. The staff is friendly and they do not take long to get your meal ready which is always hot and fresh. Everything on the menu is delicious. I know this because at this point over several visits we have managed to taste the whole menu. And please try the sweet tea as it is the best I have had from a franchise restaurant. Smithfield's keep doing what you are doing because it definitely keeps us coming back for more.

Loved the Brunswick stew and NC BBQ sandwich with Cole slaw. Delicious. But the banana pudding dessert is terrible. I expected home made with real bananas but it's not.$13.99 for pint of take out BBQ

I am usually a big fan of Smithfield's ..... This location was out of what I originally wanted (shrimp)... which was weird... the chicken tenders were not tenders but whole breast ??... I'm not from this area.. and was just passing through... I suggest you do the same ... pass through...Fries were great tho.
