Walking into Brandy’s on Main immediately transported you back to an old-school steakhouse. Dark wood and bricks with moody atmosphere surround the entire dining area. The menu also reminded me of typical offerings in many restaurants back in the 1980s. \tMy wife ordered the Audrey Hepburn. This is a fish dish that you may choose between Faroe Island salmon or North Carolina mountain trout. She chose the latter. This was a very simple dish of seared trout served with rice pilaf and sauteed vegetables. There was absolutely no wow factor involved. I decided on the halibut topped with crabmeat and hollandaise sauce. This dish was also served with the very same rice pilaf and one piece of asparagus merely as a garnish, not as a side dish. I opted out of the hollandaise sauce. The rice pilaf was not scratch made. It was sadly the box variety. My wife’s trout was properly cooked. My halibut suffered from the punishment of overcooking. \tBrandy’s on Main did not meet our expectation. The service was lukewarm and the food was just basic. One upside was Cora Faith, the piano player that evening. She played from the heart, and we truly enjoyed her music.
Loved everything about this! I was headlining Hendersonville's "Rhythm & Brews festival and came here with famiy and friends before the show. The restairant is homey and the tinkling live piano adds an element of sophistication that is sadly lacking in most restaurants these days. The wine list was very vice. Everyone found a wine they enjoyed. I loved my Sparkling Rose, And Mom and her friend had the Sonoma Cutrer. As someone who detests all things Chardonnay, I have to admit. That one was excellent! In my entire life of frequently tasting wines ( and living near Wine country in CA) me liking a Chardnnay has only happened one other time. Bravo Sonoma Cutrer! And then the food. Lawd! This place is slap-ya-mamma wonderful! The special (Halibut with spinach and rice) was DIVINE! And Dad, who is very hard to impresss, got the the Scallops and exclaimed on the first bite "THIS is GOOD!" Most of the time he'll say "it's Alright" So a THIS is GOOD! is a rare thing! Service was wonderful! Attentive but not hovering and she was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu and options. The owner even came out to greet us! They ask us to rate on a 5-star rating. My answer is "Why is there not a SIX star rating?" AMAZING start to finish! We'll be back, even when I'm not singing at a festival!
It was a special birthday celebration for my wife. We had 15 family members. Our waitress was outstanding. She was friendly, energetic, engaging and professional. (By the way on many evenings she is the bar tender). The menu was outstanding and entrees were prepared perfectly and delicious The piano player helped to create an atmosphere reminiscent of the Sinatra era. It was a perfect celebration for my wife and family. All of the family members were pleased and impressed. We look forward to returning to Brandy’s on Main, an establishment that honors their guests as friends! Tom
Never once had a bad experience / it’s not just dinner / it’s an experience!
Chilean Sea Bass was amazing, melted in my mouth. My husband's steak did as well. Best experience we've had in years! Our waitress Jonna was excellent as well.
We were able to score a last minute reservation while visiting Hendersonville for a long weekend away and we were NOT disappointed. From front of house, all service and food was spectacular. The menu had a great selection of items to keep everyone happy, as well as having a nightly special. While it's listed as "casual" it is a bit more upscale than anticipated although we dis not feel entirely out of place in our very casual date night clothes.alive piano player and art on the walls kept things interesting and the other patrons were enjoyable to be around. Looking forward to our next visit.

Great food and atmosphere. The house made bread was amazing. Portion sizes are just right, we had an appetizer and entree and no room for dessert.the live pianist was a nice touch. Id like to sit at the bar for our next visit.

Made reservations, they confirmed reservations sent reservation reminders only to arrive and they were closed. I understand we just 2 weeks ago had a hurricane but the other restaurants are open and if Brandys is closed they should definitely NOT be taking reservations. They should definitely disable Ther reservation service

Excellent experience last night. The food and service were wonderful! The surprise highlight was the piano player. He has a unique style that brought to life a wide array of music from old classics to rock tunes played in a way that fit the ambience of the restaurant well. We found ourselves waiting to see what he played next. Some of the tunes we heard were princes purple rain, Elton John’s rocket man, Van Morrisons moondance, Led Zeppelin’s going to California, and Pink Floyd’s comfortably numb. We are from SC and this was our first visit but we will certainly be back.

The hostess at the front desk was someone that anybody older woukd not what to deal with. The guy in the kitchen with the PINK shirt was wrong, if he is the owner he can go to Hell.
Great ambiance with live piano music. We had a bottle of Moscato that was so good. I had the Simone with asparagus side. My friend had the salmon, both were amazing. Our server was a sweet lady that was knowledgeable about the menu. I don’t remember her name, but she had glasses.
Best foood in the state of NC!
