My family and I have been here twice within a month, both at dinner time around 6 pm. The first visit we were sat quickly, but the food took an hour to get to the table after ordering. The food was as I expected it to be, considering we weren’t as hungry after waiting so long with a two year old and five year old. Our second visit we got to the hostess stand and after finding out we didn’t have a reservation it was made very apparent to us that they had several reservations. Three of the staff discussed this amongst themselves in front of us, obviously it was an issue. They “looked” to see what they could work out, came back and repeated that they had so many reservations. I said “if not having a reservation is an issue we will take our business elsewhere” to which they responded if we could wait about 15 minutes they could have a table. We said we were fine with waiting and sat down in the waiting area. We watched 2 other parties come in and be seated after us without a reservation. After about 10 minutes a 5th staff member approached us to let us know yet again that “unfortunately they had so many reservations that all the tables opening up would need to go to those parties and we could wait, but they didn’t know how long it would be” then they continued to stand there and stare at us as if they were waiting for us to decide to leave. We finally agreed that they clearly did not want our business and left. Given these two experiences, we will not waste our time returning.

Excellent Asian food right in downtown Hendo. Their sushi and Thai is great among other traditional Asian dishes. Most recently got tired of low quality hibachi at other places and decided to try Champa. Was not disappointed. Great quality and quantity. Yeah it’s spendy, but I got the quality I paid for. Refreshing.

Parking: Paid parking is new in downtown Hendo. Don’t love it but it is what it is. Download the Park Mobile app to make your life easier. The kiosks are a poor experience.

We landed at RDU at dinner time and decided to eat before driving home. We searched Thai food near me and chose Champa. The restaurant looked nice but was not our favorite. All the components were there for a great dining experience but things just didn’t seem to go well. Appetizers came out with the meal, most of the food was just warm to cold and we had to wait several minutes to get silverware as our food sat on the table getting colder. The food flavor was just average or slightly below. We decided we would not come back here.

Vegetarian options: They have a number of vegetable and tofu options.

This restaurant is good and the people are nice. Except recently, the sushi had made me sick twice. The last two times, I've had abdominal pain and nausea. I hope the owner reads this message and checks the sushi so that no one else gets sick.

Stopped in at Champa's during the apple festival and not too busy which was nice because we got seated, served and our food quickly. We had a Dancing Girl sushi roll, pad thai with chicken and the sesame chicken. Everything was absolutely delicious, loved the spice of the pad thai and the sesame chicken was just the right umami and sweetness. The atmosphere was also just great, I loved the aesthetic and the paper lantern decor. 10/10 would definitely come back.

The most unflavorable Lo Mein that I have ever had. Absolutely no flavor! The spring roll was delicious. Fortune cookie was stale and had no flavor. Very disappointed in Champa today. I usually love the food.
