This family ran business was a huge asset to the community during Helene. The owners opened their doors and WiFi for folks to contact their families, gave away a ton of product, and provided a place for people to socialize while they were gridlocked due to roads and cell towers being down.
This place was an oasis for us while we were stranded at our VRBO rental due to Hurricane Helene. They were so kind and gracious, giving out snacks and allowing us to charge our phone and use their facilities. They also gave us a discount on our purchases due to the fact that we were low on cash since the ATMs were down, as was the debit/credit system in the area. The festive charm of the place gave us the lift we needed to make it through that time. We WILL be visiting this...
Favorite stop after a bike ride or hike in DuPont Forest. Tasty treats with comfortable seating. Plenty of parking, very clean restroom, wifi, and the friendliest service in the state. Always happy to see the “Open” sign !
