Guidon in Hendersonville is one of our go-to spots for karaoke nights. The vibe is usually solid—especially when the crowd is mixed and energetic—and the upstairs lounge area has a really cool, relaxed feel. Drinks are fair-priced (the whiskey is usually the best deal), and the food is surprisingly good for a bar—grab the wings with the “Heat” sauce before the kitchen closes at 7:30. Only downside is they tend to shut things down around 10:30, just when the night’s getting rolling. Still, a fun local hang when you’re in the mood to sing and unwind. 🎤🥃🔥

Our team Mountains of Hope, which is helping since October 1, 2024 victims after Hurricane Helene has been here three times in a row.
As a German … excellent Currywurst … really good beer (Hefeweizen)
Yes, if I would live in Hendersonville, this would be my regular hangout
I highly recommend

Oh the German Black Lager is so tasty! We’ve been going to Guidon since they first opened and they keep us coming back for the great beer, food and friendly service. Very dog friendly.

Went for the first time. Had an amazing evening with friends. Enjoyed the karaoke. It's got a country bar vibe. The menu does not fit the energy of the brewery but the wings weren't that bad. The rest of menu appears to be German appetizers like bratwurst, etc.
The atmosphere was good and service was excellent. The parking kept me from giving a five. If spaces are full you have to park either down hill or up the street and walk back on an unit road.
I had surge and was using a cane. If I didn't get lucky with a spot up front I would not have been able to walk the distance to park.
I will go back but have to go very early to beat the crowd.
I saw I patio type area but it was closed. Not sure when they use that part of the brewery.

This place completely rocks. The food far exceeded our expectations, so much so that we went and talked to Johnny in the kitchen to let him know how good it was. After I went to the kitchen, I noticed everyone else was going down to the kitchen to tell them how good the food was. Excellent beer, excellent ownership, all around fantastic time with the family. Also superb leather couches upstairs

Edited to include food.

Outstanding beer. According to the very helpful owner and brewers, they are all brewed in the German tradition. I got a flight in between hikes and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Their ideology tends more towards the ideal examples of each kind of beer rather than experimental combinations. It is right up my alley.
I ordered the currywurst, which comes with fries. It is a small dish and perfect for a light lunch. The currywurst was delightful in texture and taste. The curry sauce surprised me by balancing mildness with spice. I fail to imagine a better small plate.

What a find! We went to walk on the Ecusta trail, and decided to try this brewery. Bonus: it is PET FRIENDLY. The beer, the beertender AND the food were amazing. I had the wings, and my friend had the mushroom swiss burger. Both meals were ON POINT. The Dark Lager was our favorite, but all their beers were yummy. They have a really cool upstairs area with couches and comfortable chairs, as well as an outdoor patio. My friend has a serious pork allergy, and they ensured that her food was prepared safely. Also, my food ticket apparently did not go through, and when I went up to check on it, they had my wings out to me within 5 minutes, and were very apologetic. SUPER GREAT SERVICE. Will DEFINITELY be back. Highly recommend this place.

My wife and I came up from South Carolina for the weekend for the Fall Foliage and to relax. Stopped in for a beer. Great beer, very nice staff and a nice relaxing atmosphere. They are also Vetran owned. Stop in to support them. We will be back on our next trip. Cheers

Such a wonderful experience here today. The beer is fantastic. The atmosphere is great. The bartender, Wes was such a great guy and incredibly helpful. He gave us some wonderful suggestions to hit while we’re in town. So glad we stopped in here while passing through. I didn’t get to try the food because we had already eaten lunch, but it looked awesome! I definitely recommend this place if you’re visiting the Asheville area!
