Such a wonderful experience here today. The beer is fantastic. The atmosphere is great. The bartender, Wes was such a great guy and incredibly helpful. He gave us some wonderful suggestions to hit while we’re in town. So glad we stopped in here while passing through. I didn’t get to try the food because we had already eaten lunch, but it looked awesome! I definitely recommend this place if you’re visiting the Asheville area!

Shout out to the kitchen! My husband had the Brat platter and finished every bite. I was extremely pleased with the jagerschnitzle platter. The meat was tender, mushroom gravy delicious and the salad was better than I expected. It had beans, cucumbers, carrots, onions, lettuce and a dill dressing. Food was hot and seasoned just right. Accompanied by you favorite beer , wine or cocktail Delightful!

Great German craft beer, nice German Food Menu along with other food iteams. Full bar. Great atmosphere and service. Outdoor deck.

This was a terrific find. Visiting the area for the weekend and just wanted some wings and beer. The entire staff was so friendly. The wings were fabulous. Big, juicy, cooked perfectly. The dry rub was terrific. Garlic parmesian were really good but just needed more garlic flavor. Terrific variety of beer. The amber and dunkel were favorites. If I'm back in the area, definitely will be going. Casual and lively. Upstairs needs a fan or some AC. Other than that, could not have been happier. Definitely recommend.

Beware, they stay open till 9, but kitchen closes at 730pm. I called in the earlier in the day to check but they didn’t tell me about the kitchen time, once we arrived I was informed by the sign on the door about kitchen. A party of 8, wouldn’t take out $$. We left and took our money to Mills River Brewery.

Excellent selection of authentic German beers. Best seating in town, outside! been here many times for comedy shows and food trucks. I need to try the in-house food now too! Update: I did try their food and it was delicious. We had wings and they were massive. The pretzel with the beer cheese was excellent as well. Best brewery in town still. Nobody even comes close. Anytime friends or family come to visit, this place is the first brewery we bring them.

EXCELLENT Hefeweitzen and Dunkelweitzen. Reminded my wife and I of beers we drank in Munich, Germany 41 years ago.

Beer good, filth flies bad. Literally active fly larvae on the condiment bottles.

UPDATE in response to owners reply. 3 people hanging out behind the bar, talking. One of them could have greeted us and taken a drink order and explained the process, especially with no 'order here' sign visible. It's not like the place was packed with people! My review stands.

I wouldn't recommend this place, at least based on the LACK of service we received. I heard about this place on NC Weekend and thought we'd stop in and check it out as it sounded interesting. We walked in around 4ish on a Friday, there were about 10 people at the bar and a small group out on the patio. We grabbed a table and waited for someone to greet us while we checked out the surroundings. It seemed like a nice place, clean, comfortable, not too loud, but after 12 minutes and not any kind of acknowledgement from any of the 5 staff we saw milling about, we got up and left. There are far better establishments that offer much more attentive service in Hendersonville.
