Kingmaker’s has a lot of Pros, and 1 huge Con which frankly prevents me from being more of a regular.PROS: FOOD! Best nachos I’ve had in the area. DRINKS, from local cider to beer and wine. GAME SELECTION! They have a huge variety from casual quick play, to serious long play strategy games. STAFF, always incredibly nice and helpful.CON: KARAOKE. This place is small, and a) not appropriate acoustically for karaoke, but b) not appropriate for karaoke and board gaming to happen together. I brought a small group of friends here and we were playing Munchkin, having some drinks, enjoying some food when karaoke fired up. For the rest of the game we literally had to scream at one another in order to communicate. I walked away with a huge headache, and a sore throat, and all my friends were annoyed at the whole experience.I’m not sure if karaoke brings in more business, but it certainly drove us away. Seems like a poor choice for a board game bar.

The perfect date night! Pick from a great selection of beers and wines to pair with a delicious sandwich, and play one of the wide range of box games (we played "Scrabble") with your sweetheart. The people couldn't be nicer, and the background music was pleasant (and low enough to not affect conversation). We're just visiting this summer, and fell in love with Hendersonville. We'll be back next summer and will be sure to return to The Kingmaker's Draft!

Incredible board game collection - solo games to party games, dungeon crawlers to bird watching games. If that sounds overwhelming, don't fret - the staffs quick to make a solid recommendation of your likes. Great selection of drinks to have next to you as you play and great snacks to keep you going for another game. I'll be spending many days and nights here.

Great spot! The staff is so helpful and accommodating especially the guy with the beard (I'm guessing the owner?). Cozy and private for a date night, but also a fun space for a group to play games and cut loose.

I've been to Kingmakers now three or four times, and it's the kind of place that I would happily spend more money at just because I love such quality exists in a small place like Hendersonville. The owners are so kind, the beers are hand chosen (no paradoxes of choice) and delicious. They have a great choice of games, whole place is clean and neat. It's an exemplar of a nice place to hang out and play games, have a beer. Its what you pciture auch a place *could* be. I'm quite serious when I say Hendersonville is a better place because Kingmakers is in it. Big cities should be so jealous!

Countless table top games, great beer, phenomenal wine, and a surprising offer of Coffee and Food will keep you entertained. Will be visiting frequently!

Amazing spot with a wide selection of games and generally great and lighthearted vibes…only two complaints:1. Why is karaoke on a FRIDAY night?? Make on a Wednesday or something2. Really poor drink selection. Wish they had a liquor license, or at least a wider variety that isn’t beer
