Got the lunch specials. Mediocre at best. The salmon in the phili roll and the seaweed itself was chewy. The chicken and vegetables tasted like water.. very bland with no flavor.Ignore the “fine dining” in the name.Only thing good was rice, the miso soup, and the service.

The food is okay, but there are other places with the same food for way cheaper ? I guess you are paying for the experience and lighting ?♀️ I paid 14$ for chicken fried rice. I was underwhelmed to say the least. The bento box was good, but I know I could make the entire meal at home for probably half the price. Their sushi honestly tastes like the trays I buy from Publix. But sometimes you just don't want to eat at home, so I gave 3 star's.

Murasaki in Arden is usually our go-to, but we tried Umi tonight. Unfortunately I couldn’t eat any of it (gluten intolerance) because there is fried flour throughout all their spicy salmon, spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail combo, and the spicy crab rolls. I asked the waitress if there was tempura or panko in them, but she said “there shouldn’t be” then left. Since they don’t have any type of description of what all is in the roll on their menu, I thought I’d leave a review to forewarn any other people with gluten allergies/ sensitivities.Murasaki’s spicy tuna is phenomenal and tempura free.Dietary restrictions: The spicy rolls are NOT gluten free.
