This was always our go to place when my husband was alive. We went at least 2-3 times week. It was a little pricey, but the food was always great and the service wonderful.We knew the managers and the waitstaff. A lot has changed in the last few years. This particular time, I called two days early to tell them we would be coming in at eleven thirty with a group of 8 to 10 people. BUT we had to wait, sitting in the lobby, while they ARRANGED the table in separate room for 30 minutes. (I repeatedly told them we were on a tight schedule and needed to eat to be able to leave by one.) We will finally seated at 12 And they took their own sweet time about coming back to order. Also, were out of a couple things... namely fried chicken. We were finally served at almost 1 o'clock. I had thought I was gonna have to box it up before it ever came so we could leave. One lady's eggs over medium were almost raw and had to send back. Note: if the restaurant had been packed and they were trying their best to keep up, i would have understood. But that was not the case. It wasn't particularly busy. No lunch hour rush. All and all this is our second bad experience with a group here in the last couple years, and maybe our last.

First review I have felt the need to leave. Rude customer to waitress was unbelievably off putting to sit near. Not only chased her down for what seemed unnecessary and rudely speaking, but the man also threw up on the table and left it??! This occurred to the waitress but also was rude to manager when they seemed to make things better and left without cleaning the throw up on the table was the icing on top! Unbelievable treatment to staff when the service was excellent and I cannot believe these people are allowed to dine in. Hoping something gets done about these people, as it is very uncomfortable to be sitting near and a business should not allow this treatment if they care not just about staff but clients!!

I ordered western omelet and it was cold. Friend ordered oatmeal that was cold. It seems like it was sitting there as other tables were getting their food. Manager never came out. I would have thought they would have picked up the check between the wait for the good and ruining our breakfast they just took off our food. Waitress apologized however it seemed Manager never cared. What is happening at Bob evans

We stopped by for breakfast and had about a 15 minute wait. Alona was our waitress and she was great at her job. She took care of us. Checked on us and filled our drinks. Our food was delicious. I think we got a great meal for the price we paid compared to some places we go.

This will be the last time I ever stopped at Bob Evans in Hickory. Been there three times all three times they have got my order wrong. And when my food comes, it’s either cold or so hard that you cannot eat it. Management don’t seem to care even if you get to talk them.
This food was sent back because they forgot to fully load the potatoes they put cold cheese on top and sent it away. It’s a hit or miss with this place. the next time I will be sending it back and getting my money back because with these ridiculous prices this food should be exactly what you ordered not what they feel like giving you. This was take out. The onions were ridiculously large pieces it’s just a shame what this place has become.
Hated the food made me sick. Waited forever for a seat. Server never asked how food was or why it wasn't eaten and never offered management. We paid and left and won't be returning

Awful place. Food was awful spoke with a women manager and she was rude said the cooks did the best they could and we waited forever for food that was inadequate and cold. Bathroom was so filthy and several tables dirty while there and not cleared.
