We had paquillo peppers, mussels, shrimp and ricotta bruschetta as appetizers and classic paella for dinner. Everything was very tasty - with the exception of the bottom of the paella. The socarrat (crunchy bottom crust in paella) was burnt. Not crispy - burnt. It's the way par of the paella if done correctly. Service was really great. And all other items were really good.
Food is overall good. The presentation is wonderful. We had the shrimp tacos- the shrimp was kind of overcooked & not really that much taste. Also the beef kabob. The steak (filet) wasn't really that flavorful Also the melon & prosciutto. The melon didn't have much flavor - granted, I realize it's nearly impossible to get good Cantaloupe in January. We were fortunate enough to get the best server at Boca, Jordi is so pleasant and made our meal all That much more enjoyable! As always the food was delicious. I am hopeful that they will make the Steak Tartar a permanent item on their menu!
