The front desk staff was helpful and explained how the breakfast worked as I paid the extra money to get breakfast included. He also advised the best place to park to reach our 1st floor room. The room had enough room for us. I did not like that there were dogs on the same floor that we were on and in the next room. We could hear the little one barking at various times that night and in the morning. The location was great. The ambiance was very welcoming as well. I did not view the whole hotel, but what I saw was very nice. I even told my NC family about this hotel as none of us had ever stayed at a Crowne Plaza before. I am very familiar with IHG hotels and am a rewards member though. I also want to mention that breakfast is not free, but you can pay a little extra to get breakfast. The breakfast area was very nice and the waitress that we had, was lovely. This is a place that I think would make a great are for families to stay in. There are meeting rooms. There are also restaurants nearby like Cracker Barrel. It is in close proximity to the interstate as well.

Had to stay here for 3 nights for a certification class. The location was great. Just a few minutes from all the places that I needed to be. The front desk attendant, Chris, was very helpful and kind. He ensured that I had everything I needed for my stay.As for the room, for a 3 night stay, it served it's purpose. The room itself was clean and bed bug free. The bed was soft and smelled nice. The only complaints I had was that the mini fridge was not very cold. It worked but you definitely wouldn't store anything outside of a few drinks or leftovers in there. The stopper in the bathroom sink broke and fell in. I fished it out and set it on a napkin. Finally the door handle seemed to be broken. Occasionally, when I stepped out of my room and closed my door the handle would sink below the normal position. I couldn't use my key to open the door. I figured out that just turning the handle would get it to click in place and then it would work just fine. Those negatives were very minor and overall I enjoyed my stay.

We had a couple issues while here but the Manger was absolutely amazing on making everything better, when he didn't have too! Very impressed with his professionalism and dedication to making everything as perfect as he could!

Took a one-night vacation to swim in the indoor pool. Nice hotel, friendly staff and good service with good pricing. I'd stay again!

Horrible stay. Thought we give it a chance but regret it right when we walked into the room. Was in for 1 night with my family and the room was filthy. There were dust, bugs, cracks , a bad odor to the room, missing sliding door, stains, dryer wall crumbs, smelled like someone was trying to start a fire when you turn the heat on. Don’t know how this place is consider a “3 star” on the review.Pay the extra to stay at the Hilton!!I have a video but it won’t let me put it up.Rooms: Horrible

The appearance in the lobby is very nice but wait until you get to your room. The rooms need to be modernized and renovated. Not even an exhaust fan in the bathroom of these rooms and the elevators are very i

The rooms and property are clean. The hotel has a little age but has been kept up nicely. The big plus for us is that their pool is indoors and uses salt rather than chlorine, which our grandkids love.

Looks okay but it’s on the shabby decline. There were no towels for the pool. Rooms were okay but the pool has no hot tub. The sauna is also not operational. Also no food or drinks in the pool and they enforce that. Side note as well. Someone in my party had money stolen from the room and they did not seem to care.

I've got to say, this hotel surpassed my expectations. I stayed here for a business trip and the hotel was very clean and the atrium inside was beautiful. The carpets and bathrooms were a little dated thus my lack of five stars, my tub did not drain properly so I was standing in water up to my ankles by the end of my shower but other than that, the hotel was wonderful. The staff was very kind and quickly accommodated me when I was having issues with the neighboring tenants. I will definitely be back if I'm ever in the area. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for the price.

I have stayed in hundreds of IHG properties over the course of 30 years. This hotel is one of the worse I’ve stayed in. Everything from customer service to the incredibly poor conditions. The hotel appears old (as you drive up you see there is a portion of the hotel being demolished). and the remaining building is in desperate need of renovations.Upon check in I was not recognized as a Diamond Ambassador. I asked if he had my number. He had to fumble around for a few minutes until he said yes. I asked if I had a king bed or if I was upgraded. He again had to spend time clicking on his keyboard and then looked up and informed me that because I didn’t pay enough for my nightly rate I didn’t qualify for an upgrade. He continued to intimidate that others pay for their upgrades. As much as I travel, I knew he was misinformed. I was already exhausted with the discussion so I decided it wasn’t worth a battle. My room was located near an elevator and a corridor that had a door/doors that slammed the entire night. The room had a mildew and smoke smell. I decided I would cut my losses and check out early in the morning. I expressed my disappointment when I checked out with little regard to my concerns.I read other reviews and saw the person responding to negative respites sends the exact same canned response. This showed me the lack of customer service from check-in to check-out to responding to negative experiences. Albeit, this property should be torn down in my personal opinion - but, why can employers and management in the service industry not ensure their highest customer levels are treated with respect? I must admit I have stayed in many other IHG properties that treated people appropriately. This specific property is an exception to the norm (in my personal experience). I will never come close to this hotel in my future travels. Horrible experience!
