Went with family and friends. We were ignored most of the time. Margaritas were the worst we ever had in our lives, did not even taste like margaritas. Chips were stale. Salsa was good but too hot for my kids. Beef fajita meat tasted like hard rubber pieces with no flavor. Below average in every way. Will not waste any more hard-earned money here ever again.

SO disappointed with our last visit. We ordered take out last week and my husband wanted birria tacos. We were told they came on a flour tortilla which was fine but it was literally just that. Meat inside of a flour tortilla. No cilantro, cheese and the “consume” was far different and bland and watery than any other consume I’ve ever had. It had rice and chickpeas in it and tasted nothing like consume. We also got Al pastor tacos, and for a Mexican spot, these were the worst tacos I’ve ever had. I’ve had better tacos from Taco Bell. They were giant hard chunks of pork with hardly any flavor and definitely no pineapple. And they’ve also changed the tortilla chips to thin, cheap bag-looking chips. Almost $50 of total disappointment. This was our favorite spot at one point and it’s sad to say we will not be back after that experience.

Dos Amigos in Hickory, NC, has a beautiful building. The booths are ornate wood, and the overall decor is stylish and inviting. The hostess was very pleasant, and we were escorted quickly to our booth. Though it was not very busy, it took a while before our server came to the table. It's not a deal breaker, but not what I expected. The food was typical Mexican chain fare. We both ordered the taco salad. Mine with ground beef and my partner's with steak. We also ordered the cheese dip. This was a major disappointment. Instead of a cheesy, creamy dip, it was a very watered-down liquid. The dip was so soupy it completely dripped off the chips every time. Even with a napkin between me and the bowl, it ended up dripping down my shirt. We paid almost $6 for this. The only thing special was the taco shell. It was light and flaky, but sadly, the liquid from the salad disintegrated the entire bottom. Meat in both was minimal. Overall, it was a typical chain meal. The service was ok. To be fair, I would give them another try if I was in the area again.

Food is typical Mexican food but they put a 18% gratuity on a party of 4 which totaled out to 28 extra dollars that we didn’t know about till after we left and had double tipped.
