Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

Plates were dirty and the silverware on table that was supposed to be clean was dirty with food stuck on there. I also ended up leaving there in an ambulance with heart racing and my chest and neck was beat red after eating steak mash potatoes and salad. We’re still trying to figure out what caused this!!!! We were there this past Saturday night.

A good place to go while on vacation. You always get filled, but if you've been to them before, it's the same food.

Accommodated 20 people no reservations for early morning buffet. Awesome food selection.

I really think that you either like Golden Corral, or you don't like Golden Corral. I happen to love Golden Corral. The only thing that I wish that they had was a menu so that we would know what sort of dishes were being served on the different days. The last time I went in, they had an absolutely great Salisbury steak with gravy. It would be nice if I knew when they were going to serve that again because I would be sure to show up. I love their salad bar as well. Some days there may be items that could be better, but overall, I have never had a bad experience at G.C. in Hickory NC. But I REALLY wish they had some way to let us know when something special was going to be served on a given day.

The cut's of steak have gotten to fatty. Bun's for hot dog's were hard. Bourbon Chicken has gotten salty. The ice cream machine needed cleaning.

Use to eat here a lot and was pretty good in the past. Went today since a year ago and it has went downhill drastically. I asked the guy grilling steaks for one that I wanted off the grill and he yelled at me in Spanish or something telling me to take what was in the pan. Never had that happen before. The food was bland and tasteless, some of it had an odd taste. It made my stomach hurt by the time I got home. I will never, ever, go to one of these again.

It is buffet style so you kinda get the clientele you expect. The people working there are amazing though, friendly and hard working as well as attentive, they make the place a success.
