I really think that you either like Golden Corral, or you don't like Golden Corral. I happen to love Golden Corral. The only thing that I wish that they had was a menu so that we would know what sort of dishes were being served on the different days. The last time I went in, they had an absolutely great Salisbury steak with gravy. It would be nice if I knew when they were going to serve that again because I would be sure to show up. I love their salad bar as well. Some days...
It is buffet style so you kinda get the clientele you expect. The people working there are amazing though, friendly and hard working as well as attentive, they make the place a success.
I've eaten at some Golden Corral that were not that good. This one in Hickory has consistently had good home cooked food for years. Service is great and the selection is phenomenal. There is a broad range of meats and vegetables as well as salads and desserts, Asian and Hispanic and kids foods. Whatever you want it's there. It's a little pricey but it's all you can eat. Go when your hungry.
