Passing through Hickory and looked for a local breakfast. Great experience this morning at Hickory Bread Cafe. Everything was fresh and well made. Wonderful espresso coffees.

Kind of reminds me on an upscale Panera Bread. We arrived at open, so I think the service was a little light, not bad, I think they were just getting going. We had a couple breakfast sandwiches that were good. And I saw many treats that looked great, so I'll be getting some of those in the future. We also enjoyed a couple of lattes that were delicious. Caramel and vanilla. Over all a pleasant experience

Place was nice on the inside, clean, great place to chit chat and relax, but the employee at front wasn’t very friendly, and the food lacked flavor. My muffin wasn’t warmed either. We were excited to try out the place but were disappointed. Probably won’t come back here.

I'm a foodie n I must say everything I've tried so far is amazing. I lay awake at nite thinking about how I can't wait till morning fabulous! The pastries are in a class of their own..the cheese croissants n empanadas are to die for n the bagels are fresh n great n the lattes delicious..faboulous!

Brightly lit spot with friendly staff and wonderful bread. The sandwiches and soups taste fresh and homemade. Love that it’s not a big chain restaurant. Yummy cookies too! Lunch here is becoming a happy weekly ritual for us.Dietary restrictions: I’m dairy free and they were very nice about making sure my order suited me.
Tried the Tiramizu and liked it, so I taking a bunch of stuff home to try later ?

A friend and I met for breakfast. It was not crowded yet and we were helped right away. The egg and cheese croissant was delightful! Light and tasty. We shared a chocolate croissant and were extremely pleased. We stayed for a while and enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere. The staff were very friendly. We will be back!

Was hoping to get a quick lunch here and was so disappointed:(. The menus options were pretty mediocre to start and my chicken panini was almost soggy. I never leave reviews about restaurants but for $12 I was pretty turned off.

My family and I visit regularly. We have yet to be disappointed. If I'm having a sweet craving, I go for the strawberry crepes. On cold days the potato soup is amazing. I love the pick two meal, half sandwich and bowl of soup. They even top off the meal with a cookie.
HBC over Panera bread. Food was great. Service was quick. Nice atmosphere. Family owned I believe?Got the steak panini. 8/10. (Bread nice crunch on outside. Super soft inside) great flavors. Tomato basil soup. Poppin. Better than Panera. A little acidity. Great salt level. Just how it should be. Served nice and hot. Got a caramel macchiato. Not too bad. Hits the spot.GREAT PRICING.

Our fav morning breakfast or brunch spot in the hickory area. Staff is so friendly and patient while trying to help you find the perfect thing to order. All breads and bagels are beyond fresh. Bacon always crispy. Everything we have ordered here has exceeded expectations!! Give them a try! They deserve to be busier and for more people to experience their amazing menu.
