Walked in on Friday, 4 April at 3 PM, got seated and no one ever came to the table, they stood around and talked in the center of the restaurant, we got up at 3:35 and walked out, I looked around to find somebody And no one was around, will never go back.

Great atmosphere, lots of televisions and laughter going on. The food was good and they had plenty of choices. Plenty of Bacon on my burger but it was overcooked. The wrap had the perfect amount of everything.

Pretty standard sports bar, decent beer selection, and the food selection has a wide variety for everyone. I've had the Rueben, burger, a few salads, buffalo chicken wrap, salmon, shrimp and grits, and the asian power bowl.
If you are going to eat here, do so in the restaurant. The take-out/pick-up system is horrendous and has, two times, been a 25+ min wait MORE than the suggested pick-up time. The pick-up area is ambiguous and the front of house team does not really explain how and where to pick-up. I tried following the bartender for 5-6 minutes to ask about the order. I suppose he could tell why I was there and avoided me to the point of looking down while I was in front of him. The orders have been incorrect both times. It's not frustrating when it's small things like sides or leaving tomatoes off a burger, but forgetting salad dressings, forgetting proteins for salads on top of messing up those small things is just maddening.
In-house the service is usually decent. I've had incorrect orders brought to me after a 30-45 min wait for food and just roll with it. I'm not picky but if I was a patron of this place, I would be livid. The menu looks expansive but items are used from other dishes to give the menu more breadth. (e.g. the rice for the ASIAN power bowl is the yellow Mexican rice, wtf). Nothing has any real flavor. Just go somewhere else. There are plenty of quality food options in Hickory. I only come here when meeting a group that wants to go here, and to be honest, they are probably only coming here for the TV's cause the food is WAYYY overpriced for quality, and poorly seasoned.

As always the food was delicious and our service was outstanding. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and had a great time. Our server, Trinity, was superb. The place was extremely busy, but she gave us great service. The "Tavern Salad* will never disappoint. It's always a great choice. 10/10 recommend dining here!!!!!!

Their burgers are AMAZING. A lot of things here are so yummy but their freedom burger is excellent!!
This is the second time I have ordered delivery and both times they have messed the order up. I have paid way to much for there food and threw it in the trash because apparently someone can’t read.

We had the nachos deluxe. Where's the chili???? Lots of pickled jalapenos and a lot of diced up tomatoes. When the waitress came to check on us to see our meal was, was sharing I was very unsatisfied, she said that she went and told the manager, as I was waiting to show him, before eating what was served. Nobody came! I will not be back!

Have ordered from the tavern three times now. First time was fine. Service was ok and food wasnt anything special for the "best wings around". Had a promotion with uber so gave them another shot. They let the order get stolen and had me waiting almost two hours because they didnt follow their protocols as admitted by the manager. Had one more promotion and now i write this as Im waiting an hour and a half for chicken tenders. They cook in 7 minutes in a deep frier. Why am i waiting so long for chicken tenders? The host was rude and unhelpful. Didnt even bother asking who he was on the phone with and started telling me about some hold that had nothing to do with me until i had to make it clear i wasnt who they thought i was. Couldnt answer simple questions without a manager. Just not worth the headache of dealing with this place. This will be the last order as i continue waiting for who knows how long now.
