Terrible service thought bikers were more important than the common public ended up walking out

The chicken pot pie might have had 3 or 4 small chunks of chicken. It was like a soup. The crust on top was like rubber.
My sons hamburger bun was like dough. The service sucked and the tables were nasty.
If you want to go to a REAL biker bar go to Freebornes eatery and lodge in Laurel Springs off 18. This is what separates the posers from the real deal.

Used to eat here alot. Every weekend.
Food is terrible now.
Under cooked or burned. Other customers had to return food because smelled expired (shrimp)

Went there today ordered the fish, always get extra tarter sauce. Charged for all tarter sauce. Server never said anything about being charged or even the cost. It has been a while since I have been there, I will not be back. Place is run down with signs on the door about biker gangs.

Came in other week and got baked spaghetti that was on special. Very dry and hard with no flavor Wasn't sure you could mess up spaghetti. Bartender couldn't make my drink. So I ordered beer which was very nasty smell from keg. New Management has ruined this place and owner refuses to put any money into his restaurant which is obvious from front door to the Restrooms. Got begged for money from homeless people and not safe place after dark for sure also..have been going here for over a decade want be back or will other regulars like me. Not fabricated but factual sir. Genuine

My wife and I visited for the first time. We’re from out of state. The bartender, Amber, was very welcoming as soon as we walked in. She explained the specials and we opted for half off pizza. It tasted great and was perfectly cooked! She gave amazing service, was very friendly, and smiled the entire time. She filled our drinks promptly even though it was very busy! I will be recommending Iron Thunder in Hickory to my family here, as well as visiting again next time we are in town! Thanks for a great night after a long week of work!!

October 1, 2024 I visited the Iron Thunder Saloon & Grill - Hickory, North Carolina. I could tell a difference when I walked in the door! I knew something was definitely different. I haven’t been there in months due to constant disappointments. After observing all the changes and I noticed a classy lady very present within the restaurant I finally asked…. The Iron Thunder is under new Management and it’s awesome 👏 hands down! I can’t brag enough about how clean the establishment was and the food was fresh and hot!!! Service was excellent! Definitely a BIG change in the right direction! Welcome to Hickory Kendall!! Glad to have met you today! Go check her out guys! Give them another chance ♥️ you won’t regret it!

Showed up with a group of 6 after a long days work out of town. Had a seat, watched everybody around us getting served. One of us spoke to a waitress after 20 min. After another 10 min we walked out. Not sure if it was terrible service or blatant racism towards my friend and co-worker. Definitely won't be going back.

How do the owners of the this establishment, bring In a new Gm and asst.Gm that has never been a bartender, and then fire the 2 of the 4 best bartenders and a bar back that made iron thunder in hickory what it is. After the last GM got tired of the owners BS and resigned she will be next I’m sure

I Waited 20 min to pay a tab, bc the new asst gm, having to be trained wouldn’t do it!!! But what is frustrating that the new managers have NEVER introduced THEMSELVES to regular customers, SEEMS LIKE THEY were too busy flirting, and socializing with the guys at the bar. And the TRAINER AND past asst gm came back from a bathroom break and finally let me pay tab. So I could leave.

Then I was asked to leave 2 days later, bc I voiced my concern and opinion after 4 food orders of regular customers got screwed up after 3 attempts to get it right. And then I get asked to leave. So I did it and will NEVER RETURN.

As a regular of iron thunder and spending 250.00 a week when home, I will not be back. The regulars that are at Iron thunder everyday in Hickory made it what it’s was. Love you all…

To many good places in HICKORY, that appreciate locals, amd that need the business.
