Food was great but we got here at 8:04 and there already cleaning up and putting chairs on top of tables while were still ordering. Never seen a restaurant start closing close to an hour before they close.

The teriyaki tofu was incredible! Staff was wonderful. The dining room is on the smaller side so we had a small wait, but it makes it cozy.Vegetarian options: Tofu and hibachi vegetables
Food was fine. Definitely had better. The problem was poor service. Never received anything timely. Ordered beers, they finally arrived 20 minutes later, but wrong beer. Ordered sushi, but wrong order. Ordered second beer, but it never arrived. Asked for extra napkins, never arrived so had to go up front to counter to get them. In the restaurant for over an hour. Had to go to counter to ask for check so we could get out of there. Likely not go back.

My family and I used to love Kuru. The food, owner and management used to be the best! After this place switched ownership, the quality of the food started going down. With the decline in the quality of the food, the only reason why my family and I were even coming here anymore was because of the amazing servers who have been providing us amazing service since the very beginning (2017). Now that we're not seeing our favorite servers anymore, this place isn't worth coming to anymore. The new wait staff is rude, lacks empathy and lacks in comparison to the old wait staff. My family went to dine in on January 20th, 2023 and waited over an hour and a half for our food, when we asked our server what the issue was, our server dismissed us, ignored our questions and did not seem concerned about us at all. The new customer service that Kuru has is terrible! Bad food and even worse customer service is not a good mix! You've lost a loyal customer.
