Took a while to get seated, but that's expected. The server got our order and brought the drinks and bread. The bread was cold, and he didn't return for a while. My glass was empty for se real minutes.
My burger (only one on the menu) came out and was cooked to medium as requested, but it had no flavor, and the bun had a funny taste. I waited 5 minutes for ketchup and chuckled as another waiter was walking around with ketchup and A1 in his back pockets.
Anyway, I'd go back for the steaks, which are good, but I will never get the burger again.

I got a Caesar salad and it taste like dirt, clearly wasn’t washed and rinsed before being chopped up… Baked potato was hard, waste of two sides with my meal.
2-11-25 appropriately 2:30 pm my wife and I went to LongHorns in Hickory to celebrate her Birthday I Requested a table> The Young man seating us tried to seat us at a booth that was not clean and food under booth on food. We refused that booth he ten attempted to set us at a table that was partially wiped off. We refused to set down until he went and retrieved a rag to complete wiping table down. I ordered my always OutLaw steak med well with Wild West Shrimp my steak came extremely well . Sent the steak back by the time I received a new steak my wife was finishing her large Caesar salad.
Not a very good Birthday Dinner !
We use to go to the Hickory location until they build the new location in Morganton NC where we live. But if we are out shopping in Hickory we go to the Hickory Location.
I asked who the manger was but never saw him or the assistant manager very unusual for a Longhorns.
FYI > Stick with the Morganton NC location the Manager Wayne is excellent and very attentive. He use to run the Hickory location it seems to have gone down hill !

Ordered the 6oz filet with fries and chicken wings.
There is no picture of the wings. They were so good they dissappear before I could get a picture.
My son took me out for lunch to celebrate his Black Belt ceremony.
My steak tasted really good, and had it been cooked to order, it would have been awesome.
My regret is not sending it back because I ordered medium rare, and I get medium well, and that disappointed me.
I wonder if someone received my steak or did the chef just overcook it.

Definitely an improvement since my terrible previous dining experiences at this same location. Long Horn was always a favorite of mine for a long time and I actually worked at this location 20+ years ago. There were a few years, more recently where they were bought and sold a cpl times to different corporations and they went down hill for a few years. And actually, the only reason I even gave them a chance after several terrible experiences was because 1 of my best friends was in town and that's where we met back in the late 90's. We worked at this Long Horn together when it was a brand new restaurant and still owned by Rare Hospitality. We were both trainers also. So onto more about my dining experience. My friend's both had steak and they were happy with it. Husband and I had appetizers as a meal because we weren't very hungry. We shared the wings and firecracker chicken wraps (my all time favorite) And they were both really good. I will say that the menu could be better, not many choices in my opinion compared to other steak houses like their competition Texas Roadhouse. The menu was great when I worked at Long Horn years ago. More varieties and options overall. At least there's been some improvements, that's better than not at all. Service was ok, they were really busy it being a Friday night. Our server took longer than it should have to even acknowledge we were even there. We didn't even get a "Hi, I'll be with you shortly" & we were seated a good 15 minutes at least before we were greeted and didn't know who our server was until then. Service did get better after the slow start. My advice as a former top server and corporate trainer for several companies over the years,- always acknowledge your guests/customers. They'll be a lot more understanding that you are busy but still took the time to acknowledge their presence and they're not sitting there wondering who their server is and how much longer is it going to take to be even politely acknowledged. And if you can, at least take a drink order & offer something from the bar, so they have something to sip on until you're able to come back.
Oh and the reason I rated the atmosphere 3 stars is because even for a Friday night it was really loud and the lights must have been all the way up because it was way too bright and you could see all the food and crumbs on the floor. We always had the lights dimmed for a more relaxing setting and people don't feel like they're under a spot light likewedidinthemiddleofthediningroom. Less is more kinda thing for sure. There's a lot of things people don't notice when the lights are down some. A lot of little tricks that can make a positive impact on the customers overall experience. And the atmosphere can set the tone as well for the night at the same time. People speak softer, it's more calming for children, especially that crying baby no one can do anything about when the parents just sit there like it's not happening. Just some suggestions because I want to see Long Horn succeed again 😊👌
Parking: I suggest call ahead seating for the busy nights like Fri, Sat, & Sun during the day time and holidays also. You won't have to wait a long time to be seated once you're there

I love Longhorns but the last few times we went there it seems like the service has gone downhill. My husband and I went for date night. After we waited 15 minutes for our drinks we reminded the waiter was was waiting and 10 mins later our drinks were out. When our food came out the waiter handed us our plates. Don’t they usually sit the plate on the table in front of you. I gave 4 stars because the food is always on point, as far service it’s hit or miss.

I got my order to go, so can't comment on the atmosphere, but food was hot and tasted very good, only if they had a delivery service.

Came in for Valentine Day and got full off the appetizers and company and decided to take my food home. Warmed it up to eat for lunch the next day(sirloin parm crust and shrimp with a sweet potato and salad). When I cut my steak it had the consistency of mush and I thought I got the end piece and cut in the middle. It was very very soft not filet soft but mush soft. Called the manger Greg and I told him the situation and he got defensive ( very) He didn’t resolve the issue at all. I love Longhorn but I’ll go to Morganton next time for a better experience

Always enjoyed Long Horn. Good food and service. Tonight the manager allowed a dog to actually sit beside the owner. The dog ate from the table and placed its head on table. Most service dogs are on the floor beside the owner. The manager didn’t even ask if the dog was a service dog and he even told us he didn’t believe it was a true service dog.

Food was good! Service was good! Wait wasn't too long! They do however need a bigger parking lot. There were people parked wherever they could including the grass...

Worst experience ever at a longhorns. Showed up and asked for a table of four and two kids. Wanted to go ahead and have drinks and an appetizer before the whole party arrived was told no that whole party had to be present. Then watched the hostess send anway another party of six and then two more parties came in that were more than six and she allowed them to sit down without the whole party. First time I’ve ever had a restaurant not want to take my money. Will never be back for their unfair treatment and rude service. Manager didn’t even fix the issue.

Delivered wrong food out, to go waitress was very rude and treated me like I was lying. For the price and the dine in wait times this is ridiculous. If I want rude servers I'll go somewhere allot cheaper

Standard steakhouse experience. Nothing mind-blowing, but the fact that my steak was cooked properly was nice, as many steakhouses can't do that right anymore. Got the sirloin and shrimp, seasoning on shrimp was nice. I'd say 4.25 stars overall.
