We stopped in for lunch on our way to Asheville, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was like an old school bar with a lot of old taps on the walls. I had the fish and chips, which were excellent, although the serving size was quite large. We stopped on a Monday so there was no wait and parking was readily available.
Disappointed in the whole experience. Waited 11 minutes for anyone to even come to the table. One member of family asked for something else because they didn’t like it and they charged us for both meals with one not eaten. No drink refills, no checking on the table. Server was great when we actually saw them. Will not be back.
This is in a beautiful area of Hickory. There is ample parking and a lovely area to walk around and check out. The beer list is amazing. We enjoyed a Pilsner(5.00) and a nice lager(5.00). The fish was some of the best I have had, a white fish off the coast of Africa. The Ruben had Russian dressing instead of thousand island and was piled high with corned beef. Heather was our wait staff. She was incredible. We asked many questions and she was knowledgeable. Stop by if you are traveling. It was a great meal.
Excellent service and super great food. The fish and chips were amazing. Try the beer sampler as well, great way to try something different. The staff was friendly and welcoming, even with the heavy crowds outside and busy inside.
Super nice & friendly staff, huge burgers, their own craft beer really quite good, had to get to-go containers there was so much food ! 😀
Thank you, Olde Hickory Tap Room, for a very pleasant experience !

We had lunch with a my brother and his wife, as we often do. OHTH is in out top 5 among many great restaurants in the Hickory area. My wife and I shared the fish & chips with candied carrots substituted for fries. We all shared a basket of homemade chips with 2 dips, beer cheese and ranch. The fish was delicious, as always. The vibe there suits our style. Our server, Lydia, added to our already enjoyable lunch: the perfect server.
Parking: Very nice indoor or outdoor dining.

Favorite place to eat lately. Sourdough bread is delicious. Jerk chicken is my favorite so far.

Bartender wasn’t pleasant and it was all bc I wanted to drink out of one of my cousin mug in which I have done for years. So I was ok w it and then she called her manager and I was very confused bc I was nice about. So I will never go back! Also manager was talking to my husband n explained why and my husband said well that wasn’t the problem but we will go somewhere to eat and manager told him ( yes there is other places you can go and eat). Never again.

Olde Hickory Tap Room was recommended by the locals, so we decided to try it. The food was very good and the service was wonderful. We stopped it for lunch and the portions were big. Took our servers recommendations and they did not disappoint. They do their own blue cheese and warm it before adding it to the burger, the best I've ever had. Will try more dishes next time I'm in Hickory.

Always happy to stop at this place and get a beer and burger. Located in the center of town in an area of Hickory used for events. They have several different beers I like including a good red ale, which is hard to find. Always dealt with friendly people when we've been there. Because we're almost 2hrs away, I'm no expert on all their menu offerings, however, I've yet to make a bad choice when ordering. I noted parking as difficult because if you arrive during one of the faurs or festivals it can get packed.
Parking: The available parking lots serve multiple businesses.
Kid-friendliness: The server beer and spirits here, obviously, but it is hardly wild. I've seen family's in there more than once.
Wheelchair accessibility: Should be no problem
