We stopped in for lunch on our way to Asheville, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was like an old school bar with a lot of old taps on the walls. I had the fish and chips, which were excellent, although the serving size was quite large. We stopped on a Monday so there was no wait and parking was readily available.

This is in a beautiful area of Hickory. There is ample parking and a lovely area to walk around and check out. The beer list is amazing. We enjoyed a Pilsner(5.00) and a nice lager(5.00). The fish was some of the best I have had, a white fish off the coast of Africa. The Ruben had Russian dressing instead of thousand island and was piled high with corned beef. Heather was our wait staff. She was incredible. We asked many questions and she was knowledgeable. Stop by if you are...

Excellent service and super great food. The fish and chips were amazing. Try the beer sampler as well, great way to try something different. The staff was friendly and welcoming, even with the heavy crowds outside and busy inside.
