I am new to the Hickory area, and came across this restaurant in my search to find a good Chinese take-out spot. The food here was actually really good. I tried the general Tso's chicken and my fiance had the chicken curry, which he asked to be made extra spicy. The General's chicken had a nice crunch and the coating was not "gummy" like some places. It had a pleasant heat with a mild sweetness and also included a few mixed vegetables, which was nice. The cheese wantons included in the combo were a simple, but tasty addition. My fiance really liked the flavor of the curry chicken and was pleasantly surprised that they made it decently spicy, like he had wanted. All in all, we were very happy with the meal and the quality of the food for a reasonable price. We will certainly be back!

The rice is my favorite you can eat it by itself. The fried chicken at times can be hit or miss but I think it depends on the cook . But overall really good different taste then usual . The rice is to die for !!!!!!

Food is always good and fresh with the exception of the wontons. Wontons are not fresh they taste old and they have very little filling. They used to be the best definitely not the case anymore.

Of all chinese restaurants in hickory, I'd say this one is one of the better places. I like the wings and lo mein... some places, their food taste like a metal wok

After seeing the 4+ star reviews, we ordered takeout from here. Hubs had the sweet-and-sour chicken, and the red sauce was the consistency of jelly. It was way too thick.I ordered the Japanese vegetables, which arrived floating in a sweet soy sauce. The "fried rice" is ordinary yellow rice--not fried, and no flavor at all. The yum-yum type sauce was incredibly sweet, as well. The best part of our meal was the two small spring rolls (small, as in, the size of my pinky finger).It was as if everything they served was overly sweet, including the sweet carrots, which may as well have been candied, and the free syrupy-sweet tea that came with my husband's meal.Neither of us was able to finish our meal, as the sweetness quickly became cloying. We will not order here again.

Food is amazing but customer service is horrible. Got my order wrong and I didn’t make a big deal about it but girl in front wanna have an attitude and when she brought out my food I’m tryna ask for some sauces but she wanna walk away.

Good food and they give plenty for the prices.

I highly recommend this place. Good food, good prices! The House Lo-mein is our favorite. We live near Denver and drive all the way to Hickory when we want some delicious food.
