Must have been senior night bland food and cold. They don't know what baked chicken and country potatoes are they brought chicken with bones and potatoes in what seemed like cream of chicken soup that wasn't cooked enough it was still congealed no refill on the ice tea that was warm with very little ice

First timer ... Waiting for a table is difficult. Not much room and easy to get lost in the shuffle of the customers paying and exiting. Finally we were acknowledged by the hostess sitting inset and wrapping silverware in napkins, but for the first 5 minutes we were not acknowledged by anyone. It was our first time there and didn't know who to ask for a table. They Waitress was on top of it and was pleasant. Enjoyed the biscuits but the gravy was lacking in the sausage department. Only margarine on the table which is very unhealthy with the seed oils in it. The waitress was kind enough to run to the kitchen and bring butter.

The menu is about as long as the one at the cheesecake factory but diner style quality. Go here when you're craving something homemade and don't want to cook. The chocolate cake should be taken home and eaten in a gluttonous fashion 2 hours later.

My biggest concern is that I've seen stuff dropped on the floor and then picked up and reused like sugar cream straws. When in all honesty they should have been thrown in the trash

We frequent Parkway House Restaurant for breakfast. I find it very odd that they can’t seem to clean the salt and pepper shakers. I have commented on the situation before and was told they would be cleaned every Sunday. I have gone as far as asking for a cleaner one.
Yesterday morning I physically cleaned the one that was on our table. It was filthy! Obviously they weren’t cleaned yesterday.
I tried going on their website to comment, but it was taken down! That’s one way not to have anything negative about your business, just remove it all!
I would think with the economy as it is, a restaurant would want to keep their customers coming back, not making them think that maybe they should take their business elsewhere.
This is not the only issue we have had and yes we do keep going back hoping something or anything changes, because they do have good food on any given day that they decide to prepare it right. There have been issues with burnt bacon, uncooked omelets and waffles, and food not being hot. There has been times of the silverware being dirty, lipstick on my coffee cup, syrup on the seat that I sat in.
The one and only reason we keep trying is to support local businesses and the waitress there that has served us for years that is exceptional and fixes the issues to the best of her ability. She can only do so much and has tried to make it better.
These issues have been addressed but seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I sincerely hope things do change before all their customers go elsewhere. We used to eat there 3-4 times a week but have eased back to 1 maybe 2 times a week.

My daughter and I came in for breakfast. They weren't really busy. We were sat in a both. Next thing we know the waitress was complaining to the young man that sat us. She was mad he sat us in her section. Then she complained to other customers that she couldn't believe he Satus there. My daughter and I both heard her. So we got up and left. My daughter to him not to worry we were leaving. My daughter is a great tipper, so the waitress just lost some money. We probably won't be back and are telling our friends that go there about our experience.

We went in for breakfast and the server went to complain near us how upset she was that she got sat and we were out in her section. After that unprofessional and negative experience, she proceeded to hug her other patrons that were leaving and complained to them as well about us being sat, so we decided to leave rather than be an inconvenience to a server who is at work to serve food to customers. We will not return to that place. Poor service and bad attitudes !!! How rude.

The food was ok! The salmon patties are really good though.. Only reason I didn't give 5☆'s is because of how the blonde hair lady berated one of the employees over giving too many napkins. She said he needed to be retrained on how to do things & that maybe he should start paying for things & proceeded to take the napkins out of my bag & asked how many did i need. Now all of this could have been true, but I didn't think it was appropriate to treat him this way in front of a customer, let alone a new one. I ended up telling her I didn't want them because the entire situation was just awkward & I didn't like feeling like I was caught in the middle. I just thanked them & went on my way! Also, big thanks to the chef for letting me get salmon patties with my breakfast. I really appreciated it & thought they were delicious.
