It was such a pleasant surprise to find a fully vegan restaurant in Hickory as I was passing through! The owners of the restaurant are incredibly nice and hospitable. It’s a couple and I believe the husband is the executive chef; the food is really flavorful and nutritious. I got the Olmec bowl with chorizo and there was some kind of sauce on it that was super unique - I’ve never tasted anything like it before, and it was so complementary to the dish. Plant Based Boss is a staple to the Hickory community! I go frequently with a vegetarian friend (I’m a non-vegetarian/vegan but enjoy the cuisine) and we almost always get the Olmec Bowl together, sit down, and catch up on months of news for one another. The owners are always pleasant and recommend the best food on their menu. I can’t wait to go every time I do and always leave feeling full. Already looking forward to my next visit 😁
